Hi everyone,

I have just completed my electrical engineering bachelor degree at McGill University and I am planning to apply for CSQ (for Quebec graduates) soon. The problem is that I heard a lot of people have been called in for interviews, despite them showing they have taken the required French courses by MIDI. Personally, I took three French courses at McGill and achieved the required level last summer (FRSL 325). I am wondering if anyone here heard people from McGill who got called in for interviews? Also, in my case, is it better to do a standardized test before applying?

Thank you for your help and I appreciate it!

McGill is not an exception as some students from their french course were also called for interview.

Always better to be armed with Tefaq/tcf in case of any surprise from MIDI.

All the best

I’m literally in the exact same boat except I’m doing FRSL 321 right now.

What grade did you receive in 325 and what’s your ethnicity?

Keep me posted about your PEQ application and I’ll do the same.
