IMO with the three lines they'll at least have you in the system and all that, so they'll know where to put your additional document. I think sending it in now is a great idea. This should prevent it from being dropped to the bottom of the pile... like they did mine *cry* ... hehe :)

That's what I'm afraid of :(

It'll get there on Tuesday! I have no way of telling that they've put it with my application right? like I'll know through the courier when it arrives, but yeah.

Don't worry. What happened with me was this: (don't do this you or anyone else lol)

1. Did application in May. They received it by end of May.
2. Got SA around August.
3. In process August.
4. October 23rd they ask me for additional documents in Batch EMail.
5. I gathered everything they asked for even though they already had most of it, which took me a while. So I mailed it all, including FBI thing they actually needed - package received by them Nov. 16.
6. Nov. 25 they ask again for FBI Doc. I don't think the mail got to them from the 16th.
7. Bottom of pile. :(
8. Been over 2 months, haha.

You'll have no way of knowing to answer your question. Sorry about that. Unless you order notes perhaps, which wouldn't help you until a couple more months have passed, maybe order in beginning of April.

I'm right there with you James. Bottom of the pile after they requested an additional document.

I can't help but feel like if either one of us gets a DM the other one will not be far behind. We're right around the same timeline, I think. Only difference between us is you're common law and I'm married.

Guys please have faith! After 3 months of waiting for news, WE GOT DECISION MADE!!!!!! What else do they ask after this? Will they ask for passport photos again? Cause they haven’t send anything on my husband’s email? I am confused?!

For US citizens they usually don't send any information other than DM on ECAS and the COPR. They might ask for photos though as I think they changed the photo requirements. They sometimes ask for photocopies of passport pages but most people don't hear anything till the COPR shows up.

We got a request for new photos - that came 16 days after they dated it. With 15 days from date to have the information in Ottawa. So we were three days late getting them back. Hopefully that doesn't cause too much of an issue. We got the letter dated Jan 20th, last friday.. sent photos same day to be there this Monday.

HEY! That's AWESOME charissey! I knew you'd get it soon! CONGRATS! YAY!!

Some people get asked for photos, some don't. I have zero clue what's up with that. Other people just get the COPR in the mail between a day to 3 weeks after DM (from what I see with US applicants anyway).

I don't think people get EMails unless they want photos or something. I dunno I haven't gotten mine quite yet. So happy for you and your husband, this is terrific. :) :)

Thanks you so much for your support and internet hugs... I would cry myself to sleep nearly every single night! It’s just so hard to think that it’s almost over! My husband and I are going to start our lives together!!!:)

Hey guys!

Can you please confirm how long it took you to get the COPR from the time you got the DM?

Thanks, I hope so!

To answer your other question lately I've been seeing a lot of DM's with a COPR that was already in the mail before DM was shown. I hope that's the case for you, too, but I don't know everyone's stats. There's a chance you could get it really soon, or, maybe a couple weeks. This part is the next waiting part that kinda stinks I bet. I know I'll be on the edge of my seat whenever I get it, waiting for COPR. I'm not in too bad of a rush but I just have to see it with my own eyes to believe it! :) Hope you get it soon so you and your husband can spend the rest of your lives TOGETHER as you should be!

Hey guyz, I'm an Outland FSW applicant and recently check with CIC, my file is in Ottawa. Was going through some other topics on the forum and understand that for outland applicants the files are processed at their respective country's Visa Office. How far is it true and what next should I expect now? I'm a bit worries coz my BG Check has still not got moved to 'in Progress' till now.

My timeline is as below:

ITA: 4th Dec
Online Docs submitted: 17th Dec
eAOR: 17th Dec
Meds done: upfront
Meds passed: 28th Dec
BG Check: 'not need at this time' to 'not started' on 28th Dec
Ghost Email: 31st Dec
RPRF: NOT paid upfront, waiting for request

No update since then.

First - CONGRATS!!!!

It took 10 days for my COPR to show up after DM - I was in California at the time.

Hi Rugrat - Between "Decision Made" appearing under Permanent Residence Application Status and receiving COPR, did you receive any other communication? Did you get another line in ECAS saying something like "A decision has been made"??

Guidance on these questions seems to be all over the place so I'm wondering if it is Case Officer-specific (and not even VO-specific).

Thanks! I received DM on February 5 so I'm just wondering what to expect. I live in Montreal so maybe I'll receive COPR this week??
