Are you applying under FSW? If so, this isn't the forum for you... They have their own sheet for tracking and this forum is for Family Class Sponsorship (Sponsorship of a spouse, dependant child, parent or grandparent by a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen).

Looking at your posts, you appear to be a FSW or EE candidate.

Thanks Sheps.. your right I have applied under FSW.

Yes, this thread is specifically for family class sponsorship. I am sure the FSW thread has a spreadsheet, you just have to go digging for it.

Processing times for Ottawa have increased. Was 15 months, now 16 months.

Just a disgrace, 16 months.......... should just applied via the HK visa office as I was born in HK.......

What is the average length of time it takes to get PR from Ottawa, U.S to Canada? 100% straightforward application, plenty of solid evidence, first sponsored spouse, etc.?

Check out the Ottawa spreadsheet but average at the moment is probably between 8-10 months.

For everyone stressing about the increase I wouldn't overly worry it was 16 months when we applied last year then Ottawa went into overdrive last summer/autumn where some applicants were being processed in as little as 4-6 months. Hopefully it might happen again!

I'd like for that to be the case. SA in April and my partner and I were hoping to be back together in Canada by August. Is this viable you think?

Based on current processing times remaining the same probably not. :( But if Ottawa pick up the pace as they did last year it might be an outside shot, you just can never tell with this office.

I suppose the most I can do is hope for a quick processing time rather than the average time.

Keep those fingers crossed!

Hello ;D I was wanting to try to add myself to the Ottawa spreadsheet but I don't know how to do it when there are no spaces left in my section for Sept 2014?

I just added mine to the bottom initially and whomever has editing privileges eventually moved it where it needed to go.
