Congratulations!

We're at week 3 after they confirmed they found my medical and RPRF and excused the FBI clearance.

When should I start to get worried again? Our ecas still in in Process, no medical received.

i would say to give them at least 4 full weeks, and if still nothing, have your MP inquire on your behalf.

It took a little over a month from when my wife got PPR (after they also found the FBI certificate they misplaced) to Decision Made. Up until that time it sat on "Application Received".

We're coming up to our year mark and I've still not heard anything yet...I emailed about his medical which would have expired a few months ago. I'll let the anniversary pass and see if they contact us, but then I'm canceling it. Then I'll never know what happened to my file lol.

I am in the same situation, actually I have a similar timeline as yours. Emailed them multiple times but got nothing back.

In my GCMS notes, the status for eligibility assessment is "Recommended Pass" and I have the following message in the most recent note section:

Following docs received as SPR's proof of residency: - SPR's residency in CDA: Residential Agreement beginning 2014/07/24 on a month-to-month basis - cannot provide tuility bills since they are paid by the landlord
-employement letter for a work at home tech consultant position starting 2014/07/28
-google search performed, company found
file passed to vo for review

What's the chance that the vo will not let me pass ? :-[
and I also wanted to ask, does the eligibility assessment also considers "genuine relationship"? Since there were only three sections in the GCMS notes: eligibility assessment, security assessment, and criminality assessment, I figured eligibility assessment is where they will assess the genuineness of the relationship, is that correct?

Today we received a request for my husband to provide FBI Clearance Certificate (we already did this). Does it expire? Anyway, not a big deal to do it gain. They also requested the same for his two children age 18 and 19 who are not accompanying him to Canada. We did provide for all three of them with the application and was even refunded the fee we paid for the boys as they aren't coming to Canada. I'm not sure why we would have to get FBI clearance for them... also they both attend school in 2 different states from my husband...sigh.

Anyway, the good news is they are processing our application :D

Police records are only valid for 3 months, so how it's normally worked is if CIC receives it in the initial package within 90 days of FBI issuing it, then they are satisfied. That's not to say, they don't have the right to request an additional one along the way. also, i believe only family members inlcuded on the application (as accompanying or Non-accompanying) who are 18 years or older need to provide FBI records. So, it would make sense that they are requesting records for the 18 and 19 year old even thought they are non-accompanying. they are still included in the application.

Morning guys,

I sponsor my parents. Ottawa office requested my parents passport on OCt 3,2014. They got passports on Oct 6th. However, still in waiting now, nothing come back. Usually how long it will take? my parents worry about it.

Only 3 months? I didn't know that. Well we're working on it, hopefully we can get everything together ASAP. ::)

generally, once the sponsor receives the letter confiming eligibility, they will not be contacted any further. after SA, CIC will most likely contact the APPLICANT. Ottawa does not send confirmation their appliction has been received. The first time CIC will contact an applicant is when they need further information or their passport request. it is quite common to not be notified CIC received any receipt or information sent, and it's not guaranteed your application status will be updated in ECAS. Right now, all you can do is wait until CIC contacts the applicant, and not assume anything about anything.
