AAAAAHHHH!! I just got an e-mail from immigration with "Ready for Visa" in the topic. We sent documents to Mississauga on the 26th of February and the file was transferred from there to Ottawa instead of Ukraine on the 4th of April (stage 2).

"The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. The following is required to complete your application.

STEP 1: STATUS CHANGE (If none of these conditions applies to you, you may proceed to STEP 2)
STEP 2: PASSPORT(S) REQUEST
STEP 3: SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS If you and your dependants reside in Canada
Submit all documents by MAIL in a single package.
The requested information/documents must be received in our office within 60 days from the date of this letter."

Is this good, right? I checked ECAS - no change, just "we received your application and medical results received".
I will mail everything first thing in the morning.

How long will it take them to mail my passport with COPR back? approx? it won`t stay there for many months, right?
How long is usually COPR valid for when it arrives?
I`m excited and hope I won`t have to wait long for everything to be done.

your ecas prob won't change to in process until you submit the information they are looking for (if it does at all).

in the ottawa spreadsheet, the current trend is getting the COPR in 2-4 weeks after passport request is completed. This isn't to say this will definitely happen, as most of the applicants are visa exempt. It seems you may not be visa exempt, so they require your physical passport, and there's a chance it may take longer because of that.

Generally they coordinate the date on the COPR with the expiration of the medical exams. If the exams have already expired, then most likely the date would be extended. no one can tell you how long the COPR will be valid for. You will find out when you receive it.

Thank you so much for the answer! I have a valid multi entry visa to Canada until November 2014 + study permit the same valid until Nov 2014.
I checked ECAS last night and it was no change.....this morning at 5 a.m. I see "DM" without any "in process"!!!!! wow))) I will keep updated how long it will take for a Ukrainian to receive a passport back with a COPR.

i just updated my address and documents CPP-O requested (proof of funds & residency)
what is the timeline for that? in the email, the deadline to submit those is Sept 17

take a look at the spreadsheet. it doesn't appear they follow the "bring forward date". For those who had doc. requests, it seems it took anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months to receive COPR. of course this is all estimates, and how long each individual time line will progress is unknown. all we can do is hope for the best! :)

Our bring-it-forward date is July 27th. We still haven't heard anything and I'm really hoping to next week. I think it depends on what sort of documents you need to send in. One of ours was the disposition date from my husband's 2 summary charges from 10+ years ago (the joys of drinking as an undergraduate student). The case is so old and insignificant the state has actually destroyed the physical record. But I think the nature of that vs a PPR has led to a longer processing time.

yeahhh.... Just got my passport request in mail but still it is in my old address .. just emailed to cic again hope they will update soon. Thank guys.

Can someone add my new info to the spreadsheet plz? "We started processing your application on July 23, 2014." and "decision made" today!

Hi Jojo you are updated!

well today is 2 weeks since getting my PPR/RPRF requests and they started processing my app. Friday will be 2 weeks since sending it in. Still no change in status. The anxiety is starting to kick in! Realistically, i know it can take more time. The wait and see what happens is pure TORTURE!!!!!!!!!

When/If CIC requests more information or passport request, do they send you a mail letter or an email requesting stuff? I haven't been contacted by CIC at all during the entire process except AOR and SA so I was wondering if they were to contact me, how would it be?

i got my request through email. my guess is april applicants will start getting request in the next 2-3 weeks. right now, it seems most march applicants are getting the requests. Ottawa also seems to be skipping over PPR for some, so it's entirely possible you may not get one, and go straight to Decision Made and COPR. When did your status change to in process?

My online status changed to "In Process": "We started processing your application July 22, 2014"
