Thanks Zarilenth, sorry about before...I didn't know you weren't home but can you update the spread sheet again for me...guess what?! I got home today and I got my COPR in the mail! I called my husband and told him a few minutes ago... ;D :D :P I'm soo happy!

No problem!! And congrats!! :)

I don't think I've been added to the spreadsheet yet, but I'd like to be. Here's our info:

Medicals Done: 02/19/2014
Application Sent: 02/05/2014
Application Received by CIC: 02/12/2014
Doc Request: 03/11/2014
Docs Sent: 03/25/2014
Stage 1 AOR: 04/23/2014
Sponsorship Approval: 05/09/2014
RPRF Request: 07/15/2014

After 9 months wait, we found that our file is transferring to LA office. I think this means that an interview request is coming. Can some body with same experience share your experience? How long do I have to wait to hear from LA? Another concern I have is that my wife is holding visitor record to stay in Canada, if there is a interview in LA, would it be any troubles for my wife to come back to Canada?

I am hoping you don't get called in for an interview! I apologize I'm not sure the process for the LA office.

We found out through an MP's request in early May that our application was transferred to LA, and our GCMS notes told us that the transfer happened in March (transfer took two weeks). We received the interview request in late June (three months after the file arrived in LA). BUT I think the interview time also depends on where you are in the queue. As we applied (in Ottawa) in June 2013, that's where we are in the LA queue. If your application is from 9 months ago (Octoberish?), you might be a bit later. GCMS notes are your best friend, they can tell you more information that can help you pinpoint when you might expect to hear. We knew we were going to hear something in June/July cause we had a bunch of bring forward dates in that time frame.

Is your wife an American citizen? Not sure what you mean by a visitor record, did she get a specific tourist visa period printed in her passport or something? If she's a US citizen she shouldn't have too many problems travelling there and back, but you never know with CBSA.

We are going to LA soon for the interview! An excuse to have another vacation there. We were there last Jan... I'm glad that we bought annual pass for the universal studio..

I applied in April 2013. I received PPR in October 2013. My file was transferred to LA in January 2014 where it sat for months gathering dust. In June 2014 someone in LA finally decided to look at my file after which they scheduled an interview for August. This has been a very frustrating process for us to say the least. From the latest GCMS notes it appears that they have some minor concerns about a non-accompanying dependent. To us this was not enough to justify such a long delay in processing nor the added burden of flying to LA for a 30 minute interview.
I don't think you will have any trouble returning to Canada after your interview if you are from a visa exempt country, but you can never be certain.

I thought about you a lot. I hope after the interview everything will be finished fast. So frustrating...

Don't worry. It's a good thing. You will get your COPR in the mail soon.

when status changes to decision made and there is no interview request, the result is favorable. If CIC had concerns, they would have given you the opportunity to respond or schedule an interview.

If you take a look at the ottawa spreadsheet, you will notice that the visa office seems to be skipping over the passport request for some applications. my guess is you'll be getting the COPR within 1 week's time in the mail. congrats!
