your uci number always remains the same. like most people are saying on here, the norm is not to hear from them again until they request more information or they are ready to issue COPR.

Thank youuu. So no one is aware of the length of time between requesting more info to the next step? Like no hope it would only take a month or so? Lol

Hello!!! I am in a similar situation as yours. CIC asked for my FBI clearance in march. I didn't send it, because when I applied, I only had been in the US for a few weeks. I sent it in April, but hasn't heard back from them since they confirmed that they received it.(I sent two emails for their confirmation).

They requested more info from me on may 1st and I sent everything today via email. Will they assign me a different uci number or it will be the same one? Also when should I hear something from them?

Your UCI number stays the same. You might not hear anything from them for 30 or 60 days depending on how long they gave you to submit the paperwork, but most likely the next thing you'll see is an update on ECAS to In Process or Decision Made.

So they gave me till june 30th. So I wont hear anything till after june 30th? Or you mean between today and june 30th?

Well they might not look at your application again until June 30th or later, as that's the date they gave you to hand in the paperwork. It's called the bring forward date, meaning they'll put your application aside and look at it again on June 30th to see if you've submitted the requested documents. They may look at it earlier too, it's hard to say with them, I guess it depends on the visa officer. They won't send you a notice saying they're looking at it either way. Most likely you'll just get in process or decision made on ECAS or passport request.

Oh man. I hope they do look at it soon. When they requested for more information I sent them everything plus a copy of my passport even thu they didnt ask for it. So they better not request it again. Lol

For those who received email reply from Ottawa, was the email directly from the officer or CPC-Ottawa. Just wondering.....

You can only email Ottawa directly, not to the officer. And it's really hit or miss I've gotten my emails replied to the next day, a week later, or not at all.

Thank you for telling me. Since I sent my FBI clearance, I've checking my ECAS everyday. I guess I can stop doing that.

Haha... The first time I sent mine was in late August, but after a few weeks they sent back the whole package saying that I didn't sign one paper. I sent back in early September. My sponsor got approved on September 27, 2013. They requested my FBI clearance on March 25, 2014.

I resent mine on March 13 for the same reason. I have heard nothing from CPC-M or CPC-O at this time regarding my application (I am principal applicant). It took them a month to send it back to me before. I emailed them with the info I have, all the numbers I can find and they can't find me at all. Now obviously my FBI certificate is no good, my medicals are six months old, Am I really going to have to start all over again from scratch? Even when I resent everything they were all valid. The only thing I can find proof of is that my fees are paid. Seems like they were in a hurry to get my money but not much else. I'm getting stressed about this as I have no idea where I stand or what to do. I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant and not working so I really can't afford to pay for a physical all over again plus it's a 4 hr drive one way from where I am now. What should I do?

Well, from my understanding the medicals are valid for 12 months, so a med rescue at this time doesn't seem necessary. Plus being pregnant, you can not have the cheat x-ray again so if you redid the medicals they would be incomplete. The only thing you will have to pay for an redo is the FBI clearance. Get all your papers together again and by the time the FBI clearance comes trough you can mail it out same day. Pay to have it shipped next day with signature. That's what I would do anyway.
