Hey everyone.....was hoping someone might be able to shed a little light on my question....short little background story...sponsoring my husband..we have been married for 2 years together for 7..he is american....me canadian....Our application was received in Ottawa feb 8...sponsporship received March 15th.....On August 12th he received ppr request also proof of our communication and the orginal FBI report as he accidently sent in a copy of it....This was all received Sept 4th according to the tracking number....My question is we still have not heard anything back as far as decision made etc....does anyone have any idea as to how long it may take after having to send in that kind of additional information....We are just both so tired of being apart and are so hoping this is all finished with soon....thanks in advance for any and all help you have given..

Generally it seems to take 2-3 months for cases that request additional material that must be reviewed again by the officer.

Is there a reason he doesn't just come stay with you while they finish up the application?

Computergeek.....thanks for the reply....he is still working until everything comes in to save up more money for the move.....fingers crossed....would like him her for mine and my kids birthdays in novemeber..but Christmas for sure

Got home from a week in the US and found ecas changed to Decision Made! :P
Last check was Oct 7 so I got DM between the 7th and 12th.
So now me and the mailbox are bff's. ;)

I have a similar timeline to yours. I got my PPR just a few weeks after you. In my case I didn't need to send additional documents since I had sent everything with the application in February. However, I still haven't received Decision Made either, and its been over forty days. So no telling how long it will be.

I guess we were very fortunate things happened so fast for us. It's a shame it doesn't happen that way for everyone.

Congratulations Nexus! Not everyone has their ecas change. Ours still says application received. Sigh.

My wife landed in YYZ yesterday Thanksgiving night! Much to be thankful for. We were arriving from vacation in Europe. The landing was relatively smooth. It was the long lines that was the only pain (some big international fights arrived just before us). The landing itself only took about 5 minutes. The officer asked my wife a few questions, looked over her COPR, wrote down our address on the COPR and had her sign in a few places. However, I was glad i was watching because the officer forgot to write down the postal code for the address so I pointed that out and he then added it in. Important to pay attention during landing! Anyway otherwise it was fine and the officer was polite and professional. Then he pointed us to the next kiosk where my wife got her SIN number (another 5 minutes). Then they pointed us to a booth to get a bunch of pamphlets and books on settling in Canada. Though she doesn't need it since she has me, it was nice have them welcome her and get the materials. Then it was off to baggage claim where we had to go to the second room there so they can inspect her bags. Again the wait took forever, but once we actually were able see an official, it took just 2 minutes for him to ask a few questions, quickly glance at the B4 form, and we were on our way.

So the landing took about 90 minutes, of which 12 minutes was the actual landing and the other 78 minutes of waiting in line!

What a relief this is over!

I like your landing story here better. ;)

You are updated! Sorry, I was out of town until last night. Congrats on landing!! :)

jds07- Thanks for the update on the driver's license. It is useful info. :)

keesio- congrats on a smooth landing.....I'm sure you are happy it is all over.

I went to the States for the weekend and was able to cross back into Canada with no issues. Having the Nexus card has made my life crossing the border SO MUCH easier. There are no longer questions on where I am going/who I am going to see......even when my wife and I cross over together and still don't have PR, there have been no questions. I guess it all just shows up on the screen when we show our Nexus cards.

On the bad side, I STILL haven't gotten COPR. I was hoping it would show up while I was in PA but it didn't, OF COURSE!! I got DM between Sept 13-16 and heard back from CIC on October 1 that my COPR was in queue to print and still nothing!! I just want to get the papers and land. I will waitto import all my belongings between Christmas and New Year.

Does anyone know how long I should wait before contacting CIC again to find out if my COPR has printed and been mailed? I am still concerned that it printed before I contacted them and it is sitting at my attorney's office that is CLOSED for renovations until who knows when!!

CONGRATS Nexus!! I'm still racing you to COPR. :P

Congrads to Kissio, Nexus, NicAnn, Buffy and all those who have seen progress to the finish line recently.
I'm hoping this week (or soon at least) to get PPR as it appears I'm next on the spreadsheet after Chiqsherbet, if that means anything. Will keep you posted. Cheers!

Hi Buffy,

I am around a very similar timeline as you- Decision Made Sept 16. I actually decided to email CIC this morning to see what the status is with my husbands COPR since we haven't received it either. I will let you know if I hear anything back from them.

That would be awesome!! Since I already contact them once I don't want to make them mad by emailing yet again. I hope they have been printed and are in the mail!!
