When an appeal case is won, they reset the clock on processing your application. It's unfair, but it means that it sits in queue until someone gets around to looking at it again. Since they've already asked you for more documents (which is actually pretty fast) you should expect someone to look at it 1-2 months after the deadline they gave you - so if they said "you must submit a response by august 29" then you would expect to hear back from them in October. But if the deadline was September 30, you probably won't hear anything until November or December.

They probably are done with background checks, though they may need to update them if you have been living outside Canada.

Does the same apply for those who have already received passport requests? I got a passport request on September 3rd. Should I assume that my app is back in a queue for further processing in a few months?

When you're at the PPR stage, the timing is normally the typical processing time of the given office. I'm not sure how fast Islamabad is, but given they're slow processing everything else, I'd be rather surprised if it weren't at least a couple of months before they send things back to you. I haven't looked but I assume there are Islamabad threads that would include discussions of typical visa processing time for PR visas.

Thanks for the info, but I'm American, being processed through the Ottawa office. :)

Assuming your husband is a US citizen or has been admitted for at least one year to Canada or the US, it will be sent to the visa office abroad: Ottawa.

CPP-O handles all such applications though they may choose to transfer applications to LA or NYC but this normally only happens for applications that require extra processing.

Ah ! I see .. Makes sense now thanks ! I was unsure with the wording - Yes he's American so - Good news !! ;D

Thanks! :) I wasn't sure about my status, since my ecas never changed to DM after the PPR.

From what I can tell, e-cas changes to DM a few days after the COPR is printed.

We received decision made on September 16 and have not yet received COPR. From what I read in past posts, it looks like there is a queue for printing the COPR's. Hopefully printed soon :)
It seems like every case is different as to when status changes and things are requested/printed.

I had Dm made between Sept. 13-16. I contacted CIC last week and they said I was in queue for printing COPR. It still hasn't arrived as of today. I think it depends on when they get around to updating ecas. Some people may get DM immediately and others a few weeks later. It's a crap shoot from what I have seen.

Our application was sent in May and is currently at CPP-O. My husband is American and I just wanted to know if I should contact CIC to see where we stand or should I just wait until I hear from someone?

It's just about the time someone will take the first real look at it. So there's not really any point in annoying them at this early stage.

The waiting is the worst part (that and knowing the waiting is mostly queue delay).

No doubt. I just applied in August and it is already driving me nuts not to hear anything. I can only imagine how it feels if you've been waiting for months and months with no word. Hopefully now that the strike is over, things will speed up a bit, particularly for those who applied eons ago.
