Congrats! Our timelines are about a month apart :D you are almost there!
I hope you're right Ally06!! I am sitting very impatiently here in Canada and I want a job!!!! Plus my son goes back to school Tuesday and I will really go out of my mind with boredom. My attorney was supposed to send in the passport scans and CC: me on the correspondence and he never did so I don't know if he sent in my photos. I went ahead and forwarded them to CPP-O myself and attached a note just stating I didn't know if my attorney or myself needed to submit them so I was sending them "just in case". I don't want to wait forever!! lol

I hope the remainder of your process goes smoothly!! :)

Guys, when is it my turn? Happy for all of you but eager to get a turn soon ... Best of luck

You are probably looking into December 2013/January 2014.

Darn, maybe CPP-O needs a swift kick in the behind! I had thought all the January applicants had gotten PPR! I hope you didn't get IvanP's officer. I will keep rooting for you!! I'm sure it will be there soon!!

Nope :( They requested a renewal of a chest XRay July 23rd (returned to them the 25th) and I've heard nothing since except that sometimes it takes awhile for the Health Branch to update - generic email not signed by a VO. :\ I'm really discouraged. I just got another extension granted until May 2014 but I have to go back to the states in November and I'm scared they won't let me back in since I need to go back for 2 weeks and want to come back (but the last time I crossed was December 2011 so it's been 2 years of extensions.... I doubt they'll let me back in!!)

Darn that is rough!! I hope it works out. Have you thought of getting a Nexus card? We just got one and if you can wait to do the interview when you finally cross usig Nexus there are alot fewer questions. They do an interview before-hand and you can explain your situation. And it only costs 50 bucks for 5 years. It might make crossing ALOT easier for you!! Ifyu need more info PM me

I wish you the best of luck!!

I would let your VO agent that you already had your Xray done. I did that and a week later I was requested for my passport.

Just reply to the email he sent you requesting the Xray.

Back online again (though I forgot to bring our wireless router last time I brought stuff up here - doh!).

Anyhow, I've updated the spreadsheet with all the updates I could find. If I've missed anyone's happy news, or you've received a new update, you can feel free to PM me or post here and I'll be happy to add your updates.

It's been an eventful week: registered the kids for school (the Quebec "classes d'accueil" are really great - intensive French to get the kids acclimated), went to Service Canada, got local cellphones, signed the family up for provincial health insurance (bonus - my kids are covered from day one of landing in Quebec, so we can get a refund of the traveler's insurance we bought for them, and because my wife landed in August, her insurance will kick in Nov. 1 (if we'd waited until September to land she would have needed to wait until Dec. 1). And the array of financial subsidies/support programs for the kids is shockingly good after living in the US - the wait for the visas was long, but well worth it.

Hope you all get your COPRs soon and can land without delay! It's a good feeling to have the landing behind you.

As a QSW Nominee, can I land anywhere during my landing?
I thinking of driving to Toronto instead of flying to Montreal

Will this be any problem?

Advice needed please!!!

This is the wrong part of the forum (this is family class, not skilled worker) nut the answer is the same: you may land at any port of entry in Canada with immigration services, regardless of your ultimate destination.

You should be up soon! I'm sure they get a little out of order when they are assigned but for the most part it seems like they go in chronological order. Hopefully soon!!
Good luck!!!!

Thanks Buffy I really hope so :-)

Hi

I appreciate your reply but how come you say December or January. I really don't mind that but that's when I'll be feeling a bit down if it takes that long. You never know I guess but lots of people that applied in January and February are getting PPR or COPR. I applied in March I'm hoping to hear something in the next two months but it is all hopes now. I know the strike and processing times have gone up, so you might be right. I hope to God it is soon. I seriously feel how everyone feels and really hope everyone gets a resolution to this very soon :-)

I thought you applied in June... I got confused with the MM/DD/YYYY format... in that case you should be hearing about it in 30 to 60 days, maybe less... sorry about that. Many January/February files are still being processed.

There are still people who applied in spring 2012 (or even earlier) who are still waiting (some for no apparent reason), so any predictions should be taken with a grain of salt. With any luck, cempjwi is right and you'll hear something soon, but I would assume 8 months - from filing to COPR - as the likeliest scenario for most CPP-O applications.

I hear you - I am job hunting, patiently waiting for my COPR to arrive in the US! I had to return to Vancouver, so now I have to wait for my parents to send it to me here in Canada now. If I had them send it straight to the Canadian address I probably would have had it by now ::)
