COPR came today

I have a question though, I have not told my wife it came yet! I wanted to surprise her and be there when she gets in from work!
Does anyone know if they will contact her to let her know when I land?

What is in the envelope with te COPR? A letter and a form? Just a form? What does this form say?

Soo.....hubby's roomie reported we received a larger brown envelope from Canada in the mail today! One can only guess its our COPR!!!

That should be it, mine came yesterday

I'm looking at an image of my wife's COPR.

Under "APPLICATION DETAILS", I see the following:
Issued at: CPP OTTAWA
Issued date: 2013/08/02
Valid to: 2014/02/12

I assume the "Valid to" date means that the COPR expires by that date (she must land before that date). Is that correct?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got decision made on the 15th!

I still don't have my COPR yet, I'm hoping for tomorrow!

I'm around the same dates and wondering when my time is coming..


Did they update your ECAS at all? Or did it go from Application Received to Decision Made?


Did your application go thru the LA office first?

COPR arrived today! At last!!! We waited over a month from when the decision was made to when we actually received it!

I do have a question though, for those of you who have already received your COPR's. It clearly states "Confirmation of permanent residence" and the letter enclosed says "We have now issued and enclosed your confirmation of permanent residence form for you....", but across the actual COPR it says "Not valid for travel". What does that mean? Thanks so much!

I believe the "Not valid for travel" means that it does not also serve as a visa or official travel document (like a PR card or passport). It is simply a document you need to officially land in Canada.

Ohhh thank you! I might have been having a mild panic attack...probably from the sheer excitement of finally getting our letter! Also, how do I go about getting added to the spreadsheet?

My application went straight to Ottawa.

My Timeline:

Application Recieved: Jan 7th
Sponsorship approved: Early Feb\
(Long bout of nothingness)
PPR: July 7
Asked for updated financials: July 10th
"In Progress": July 12th
Decision Made: August 15th

My Ecas got updated to "DM"...I got PPR last Tuesday and now the Ecas changed to DM
So How long before I get my PP back? And the COPR?
