Also if I did that.. who would I send it to? What would I say? Would I get no notification that I'm in final stages if I did? I'm so confused and now worried I'm going to be delayed months.

Here's what I would do, and yes, the goal here would be to skip PPR and go straight to decision made, and your only source of updates would be ECAS.

Send to: OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing to inform you that I had the requested repeat X-rays taken by my panel physician on X date. You should receive the films and report shortly.

Also, in the hope of avoiding any further delays in the processing of my application, I have attached a scanned copy of my passport.

Thank you for your assistance.

Sincerely,
Kiri

I will do that! Thank you so much Ivan! :)

Typically from what you've experienced on here, how long does it usually take for people to get a decision made/PPR/COPR after a renew medical.

I don't really know much about the timing after repeat medicals. We don't have a huge sample size, and there's not a lot of consistency, but based on the spreadsheet, I'd guess 3-4 months. Sorry - I know that's really not what you want to hear! You can look at the far right-hand column to see what the various times were from new medicals to PPR/COPR.

*Sigh* Thanks for letting me know. You're right, it's not what I want to hear after being at this for a year and a half now, but life happens. I just hate that I'm delayed because of their own incompetence, not mine.

I hear you! Average time from PPR to COPR receipt is 33 days, but we've been waiting 142 (yes, one hundred forty-two) days since PPR.

Appalling treatment at a very high price, and we're getting ready to lawyer up if we don't hear something very soon.

That's awful. We couldn't go the lawyer route even if we wanted right now. I'm just praying that I get extremely lucky and they respond within the month, especially if I'm proactive about my passport.

At least bug your MP. Your situation is just as ridiculous as mine.

Yeah? Wanna give me any pointers on how to do that :P I appreciate all the help you're being!!

If the VO requests passport does that mean you can be at that point certain about getting visa approval?

If they just request passport, almost 100% certain. If they request other docs, then it will take longer, and the fact that they requested other docs means they had some doubt, but if you address the doubt, chances are very good that they'll issue a visa, it's just a matter of when.

The fact that you're responding to me makes me happy enough ;) I'd rather have someone say SOMETHING (well, not wrong info.. but something decent) than just ignore my posts :)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob423.asp

So this has me excited.

Effective June 1st, 2012, officers can request that an applicant’s medical file be reassessed by a Medical Officer (MOF) or a Health Branch (HB) delegated staff for the issuance of a new medical certificate. The process applies to cases where a final decision of an officer is pending only due to the expiration of a medical certificate or when the validity of the medical certificate is about to expire and the applicant is unable to land before it expires.

I'm assuming this is what has taken place with mine and the Health Branch only saw need of a new Chest XRay since that's all they requested and the letter came from them.

...does this mean that having an updated chest Xray is the ONLY thing keeping me from PR status? Like... does this mean I'm going to be approved??? O.O I'm about to jump all over the place like a 4 year old.

Hi everyone,

My wife sent an email to Ottawa a few days ago inquiring on the status of my application and they replied to her email today saying my application has been forwarded to Los Angeles and is in queue for review. What does this mean? it's seems so weird that they told me two months ago it was in process at Ottawa.

Has anyone else heard or have experienced this transfer?
