Before, and After. It changed several times.

Cool! Not only are they generally hypoallergenic, they are also the best, friendliest cats ever. Really wonderful pets.

My husband and I have one and he's more like a dog than a cat. He cuddles with our parrot and everything.

I didn't know dogs were known for cuddling with birds! hehe :P

So I emailed my attorney's office today and asked them WHY they didn't tell us about the RPRF (I suppose we could have done a little more research then we did, but hey, that's what we paid an attorney's office two grand for, right?!) and give us the option to pay it up front along with the application fees. I was nice about how I asked. I'm wondering if they will answer me. LOL

Last week my husband emailed and asked if they would email Ottawa and check on the application. The new paralegal assigned to us replied and informed us that she will be having the head attorney do that.

Hi Evan! I added you. If you have time & know the dates, can you provide us with the date your application was received by CIC (it will say on Ecas) and the date you got AOR, if you did. (That's Acknowledgment of Receipt if you didn't know.) Also, I didn't imput your medical date because 9/X/2012 didn't want to format right :P

It's awesome to hear you're in process. I'm only three weeks behind you! :D

So, has anyone wondered why there's been almost no activity from Ottawa in April? There's a nice batch of March dates in our spreadsheet, but April is conspicuously missing. I know the Easter holiday was in there, but, come on, this is the 10th! Wake up, Ottawa!!

Yes, it seems very slow at the moment. We had PPR in February and so far, nothing has arrived.

Maybe the one legged polar bear got lost on his way back from Shylox?

That made me laugh! I needed that. ;D

I need to figure out how to edit my profile..

I'm a newbie on here but a longtime reader. My husband is American and this has been our journey so far:

We received your application for permanent residence on September 20, 2012.

We started processing your application on March 4, 2013.

Fingers crossed we hear back soon! He did his medical back in August when we sent in the application, but the doctor's office sent in the medical? Does it always say "medical received" or does it sometimes not come up? I'm getting a bit paranoid that they never got it...

Mine has always said "Medical Recieved" as long as I can log on. Sometimes, Ecas doesn't like me. If you're concerned, you could talk to the Call Centre. I believe they're able to see if your medical is in.

You can edit your profile at 10 posts, add a signature, avatar, and PM people.

If you like, we can add you to the Ottawa spreadsheet. It's in my signature (and a lot of other people's). Take a look. Just post your information as complete as you have it. :)

So its been 4 1/2 months since I sent in the application and when I went to go for my Medical exam on Nov 1st they said no I now have to wait until the form has been sent by CPP. So on April 2nd I sent an email to CPP-Ottawa asking if they had any further information and this afternoon April 10 I received the email with the request for my medical exam to be completed. Yes!!!! Hopefully the PR Visa is right around the corner. Whew the patience to even here this news was wearing thin.

I just landed in Victoria today. Back and across on the ferry and almost five hours later, and I'm finally officially a PR. :)
