I called the call center today to try and find out whatever is up with my application and as I suspected they can't tell me anything, but the agent did tell me I can try emailing Ottawa about it. Though I don't think that will do anything either since I'm still technically within the processing time of 13 months and from what I've heard they just ignore those emails.

So no answers for me, I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I get a letter in the mail.

I think it's definitely worth emailing. When I emailed about a typo in my child's name in the sponsor approval email, they responded and said his name was correct in the application and file, so not to worry about it. I would think that this is a similar situation - you're seeing an update that doesn't seem right given the normal progression of applications, and you want to make sure there wasn't a problem (e.g. you weren't rejected without any opportunity to respond).

You can always watch the game tonight. My office is two blocks from the arena, so I know it will be the usual mad house tonight with crazy hockey people milling around (sorry if I offend any crazy hockey people. I still haven't entirely forgotten the birds eye view of the riots that we had.)

They did reply to my email but...

NOW I HAVE MY COPR :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Like....what? I keep thinking "maybe its fake" LOL but no, I'm done! So excited. IvanP you can update the spreadsheet because I don't know how to even do the PPR column lol

Thank you!!! Now I have to plan out how were gonna land. I think we might do a flagpole landing but we aren't sure yet.

So did the COPR just "show up" in the mail, or did they e-mail it back to you?

Wow, you definitely have an amazing story on that one. So is there a trip to the border in your near-term future?

Don't forget to get your passport stamped if you do that. A friend of mine didn't and CBSA made him go back around to the US side to get it stamped.

It took me longer to get mine stamped (at Blaine) than it did to land (at Douglas). Either border crossing (Peace Arch or Pacific Crossing) can handle it of course (I'd pick the one with the shorter lines.)

I will be sure to do that thanks for the tip =D

I really have no idea how this worked, it just showed up in the mail today all crumbled up like any other government mail lol I wish I knew the secret so I could help everyone else get it done like this haha

Congrats!!! Our PPR came the same way after I sent an e-mail about if we would need to re-do the medical... It makes me wonder if they are playing some sick game where they have everything done and just wait to see if people will e-mail them... or if when they open our files to see it they go"hey this is easy I'll just get it finished up today" :P

this might be a dumb question...but

since most of you know my situation. I have not heard from Ottawa yet but I know my file is in there (successful Appeal) My MP tells me this, and says it has a number but waiting for a case worker. Should we wait to hear from them, or is there anything we can do now ? Thanks :-*
