I agree! We got PPR back on the 12th of December and ecas hasn't changed from application received! I think that we will be landed and it will still say application received...lol

Lol, not sure why they bother with that system if 1) it's hardly up to date 2) when updated, it doesn't give any useful details ("in process" could mean one of many things).

They should just turn it off and save $ on power and bandwidth.

Assuming you sent both your application for sponsorship AND the Permanent Residency application at the same time, ecas will show the date they received that package in CPC-M. It won't show the date your application was sent to / received by CPP-O.

Given the number of people who receive communication from the VO (information requests, passport request, etc) prior to any update of ecas, I've stopped bothering to log on to ecas. I think once you know they have your application and medicals - checking ecas everyday like I used to is a waste of time.

Thank you everyone for your input. Much appreciated. Thanks Zero. That would make sense because we sent everything in one shot. Everything including medicals FBI clearance all the proof you could possibly think of and all the fees and payments. So that would explain the dates.

Anyone have any idea of what we are looking at in terms of when we could be expecting PRR? Just curious and anxious :) We filed outland so he's been in the U.S. the entire time working while I'm working here. So it feels longer than only 6 months. :)

Holy crap!

Yayyy!! We received AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) today!! Surprising since they say they are still working on November cases. *does a dance*

So AOR for me on spreadsheet :)

FINALLY some good stuff after the fiasco I've been through since May.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes - especially happy for Kiri who I know has been through the wringer this last little while!

I do have a question that I hope someone can help with - my wife is here visiting and plans to be here for the next while. Her address on file is still her USA address. We sent in the requested passport copy so I guess up next is COPR - will that be sent to her USA address, or is it something that will be emailed?

It would be a lot easier for us if it was mailed to our Canadian address...should we change her contact info to reflect our Regina address?

I'm pretty sure the COPR is mailed. We are planing to change our address to one in Canada like 3 weeks before we move (if hubby's COPR hasn't come by then >:( ) just because of the lag time for the mail systems. That way if it is already in the mail it will have enough time to get to us before we move and if it gets sent to my dad's place we will just get him to overnight it to us before we cross into Canada. I would say maybe you would be better off switching the address because I'm pretty sure that even if she has to head back to the US before it gets there it would be faster for you to overnight it to her then it would take to wait for Canada post and the USPS!!

Thank you so very much. That means a lot. :)

Hi all, I have been directed your way - my hubby and I applied for his PR outland at the end of November. He's American =).

We just received our first approval today (I was approved to sponsor him) and now his PR app has been forwarded to CCP Ottawa.

What are your timelines like, any idea on how long we have to go from here?

=)

There is a link at the bottom of this post to a spreadsheet for November filers.. you can where others are in the process. You should also join in on this thread for November filers. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/november-2012-applicants-unite-t123516.0.html;msg2022444#msg2022444

Glad to see you here! Best of luck with your application!

Hey Guys!
I received a letter today from CPP-O asking to complete new Background form b/c the form I initially submitted was incomplete.
Does anyone know how long does it usually take to hear back from them after that? Maybe somebody had similar experience with Buffalo. Thank you in advance!

Hey, I'm sorry, I don't know how long it will take but it's really good they are looking at your application now!

Landing #2 is complete...

My dependent landed in Calgary yesterday with no problems at all. We were really concerned about her landing as she is very pregnant. Not a word was said about it, and she returned to the US this morning.

I'm so glad this is over.
