Usually valid until the expiry of your medical exam, police certificate, etc.

No it cannot be extended, as far as I am aware.

So, we've decided to hold out on canceling our application and wait to see what case notes say. . . that and it seems like either way we go the road isn't going to be easy.

Hubby is looking into getting a better job, which would at least make our living situation more comfortable.

For those of you who are IN Canada with your spouse just "waiting" . . . what are you doing to stay occupied and busy? What are you doing to make friends? If we end up staying through this process if my application is in LA, I have an estimated 2 years...
 
My husband finally got his PPR today, but ECAS still says "in process" not "decision made". Does this pretty much mean that he has been approved and they haven't updated ECAS, or could it still go either way?

Can someone please update me on the spreadsheet?

I am in Canada and wait for my decision. My two years of work permit are over so I am only a tourist now. I go for walks, clean the condo more often, read, try to meet people, cook, bake, surf on the internet, visit my old employer once a week. I just try somehow to keep myself busy without spending money :D Where in Canada are you?

We're in the Okanagan area of British Columbia.

I'm clinging onto this hope that my application really wasn't sent to LA. . . and that the call centre agent was just really misinformed. We're waiting on my case notes, which probably won't get here for another 3 weeks :\

If we wouldn't live 8 hours apart we could visit each other and talk about everything but immigration :D

If we ever are driving through Calgary (which we might be! We take trips to Edmonton sometimes) I will surely let you know! :)

To be honest, I spent waaaaaay too much time watching TV lol. I've been here almost a year now, unable to work, with a husband who works 80+ hours per week. Thank God we have a dog... at least she gets me out of the house a few times per day!!! The dog has also helped me to meet people in the area ;)

Hello Siren! That is great news! I've officially given up on ECAS... ours still says "Application Received" since June 2013. I know it is in process because CPP-O contacted us for additional docs.

We are May 2013 applicants (close to you), so let's hope that we receive decision made by the end of the month! We are hitting the 11 month mark on April 30.

Siren, you're ahead of me! I got my PPR on 4/17 and ECAS still says "Application Received." I'd be thrilled to even get an "in process" update.
 
It is true that every case is unique. But CIC's process is so random, that I came to the conclusion that the more we try to analyze, calculate, predict, expect the more we get CONFUSED ;D
 
Hi everyone! Had a question on the b4A form "goods to follow" list. If i list 10 things on it, am i allowed to bring each item into canada piece meal on future trips? Or does it have to be in one shot?? Thanks! Crossing border with my husband tonight as he's finally landing with his COPR. So any response in the next little while would be much appreciated!!!
 
I have to admit, I'm starting to be a little stressed out that ECAS still says "Application Received" even though they requested my passport and a copy of my husband's latest paystub on 4/17. I'm thinking about ordering my case notes. Exactly how do I go about doing that and how long does it take to get them?
