I applied for a TRV within Canada online on 26th April and today I got a message to submit my passport.

Just to confirm, you applied on 2nd May or 2nd April? Coz online it says that the application working on is 23rd April...

These are my timelines for new TRV application within Canada with a valid work/study permit.

Online application sent: 26th April 2015
Original passport request : 21st May 2015
Passport received at CPP-Ottawa : 25th May 2015
Application status updated (closed and approved) : 30th May 2015
Tracker activated : 1st June 2015
Passport with visa received : 3rd June 2015

My friend applied for his TRV on May 17 but didn't receive any update yet. He also purchased airline ticket in February and the departure date of his flight is Jul 7, 2015. He will come back in Sep to start fall semester. He is really worried about his application. He also enclosed airline ticket with his application.

Could anyone please copy and paste (except confidential info) passport request/submission guideline? How did you send your passport? Do you need to submit anything else other than passport?

Finally what a relief !!!!!!! Cool Cool got passport request from CIC yesterday, since I'm already in Canada with my spouse I need to send my passports to CPP Ottawa Canada as one of the option mentioned in letter(email).

But with this new process there are lot of questions and confusion in my head. one of the confusion is about sending doc from Canada xpresspost envelope. It is mentioned that all docs should be sent in single package including 32*24 cm canada post xpress envelope. But for the returning package's envelope, should I fold the same (i.e 32*24 cm ) and put it inside the main envelope or should i send large size envelope on the outer and returning one 32*24 cm one.HuhHuh


And in accompanying doc along with passport, photograph and returning envelope should I have to add anything else for example my work permit and other stuff.

Original Passport Request: July 23
Passport sent to CPP-Ottawa: July 23
Passport received by CPP-Ottawa: July 24

I'm eager to know how long it takes for CPP-O to return passports lately. Could anyone who has recently been through similar situations share their timelines? Many thanks in advance.

I have applied for TRV within Canada based on my open work permit. I submitted the application on 11th July and got passport request on 15th July 2017. I send my passport through Canada Xpresspost on 18th July and it has reached Ottawa office on 20th July.

I have to apply for US visa very soon and when can I expect return back of my passport? How many days can it take Ottawa visa office to return the passport?

I made same mistake, it's CPC not cpp, my application is also delayed. I hope CPC received my application.
