CPP-Ottawa passport return time - Recent

Can anybody tell me if they submitted application online on Nov 15 and received response?
I submitted online application on Nov 15 and haven't heard anything after that.
Processing times show they are processing Dec 6 ones. Not sure what this mean.. Its confusing..

Please help with any information you have

I submitted mine on the 1st November 2013. Haven't heard anything from them either...I emailed them but they just replied that it's processing..

Application Process:

TRV application online: 21st-June-2014
Original Passport Request: 27th-June-2014
Canada Post Passport Sent: 30th-June-2014 [Monday]
CPP-Ottawa received: 3rd-July-2014 [Thursday]
Express Post Tracking Code Activation: NEVER HAPPENED
Passport received at home: 11th-July-2014 [Friday]

Hello!

Has anyone recently received their passport back from CPP - Ottawa (online application)?
I really need some information on their approximate passport return time, cause I have a flight scheduled for this Sunday, December 14.

My timeline as of now:
12 November - applied for TRV (online)
26 November - passport requested
26 November - passport sent to CPP - Ottawa via Canada Post Xpresspost
28 November - passport received by Visa Office

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Hello, I have not received my passport back and I am getting worried as my flight is scheduled for Dec 25th. I submitted a paper application

My timeline:
27 October: application was received by CPP ottawa

I have heard nothing back since then. I have sent 2 emails with no reply. This is so unfair, they cant just keep us in limbo like this with absolutely no word on teh status of our application. Bloody red tape and their inefficiency. Hope we get our passports back soon

We are in terrible situation. I have cancelled my trip to my country. But whats giving me serious headache now is that my address will change at the end of Dec. That means I may never get my passport again. Meanwhile my passport was received by CIC on Dec. 1 2014. I don't know what to do.

yuppie my passport has been dispatched can see the tracking on canada post should be at my place tomorrow hopefully but the worst thing i had move my flying date to dec 20 instead of it being on dec 13 :'( :'(... my time line
application : 11-nov
paspport req : 26 nov
passport recieved : 2 dec
application processed on dec 10
passport dispatched on dec 11

Finally got my application status changed to "Approved. Closed".
Here's my timeline:

12 November - applied for a TRV (online)
26 November - passport requested
26 November - passport sent to CPP - Ottawa via Canada Post Xpresspost
28 November - passport received by Visa Office
15 December - application status changed to "Approved. Closed".

I have submitted my application, paper type, to CPP Ottawa, and it was received on the 28th of Oct. Up until now I have received nothing back!

During summer time it took about 3 weeks, and the waiting time was even longer. Anyone submitted paper application around the same time?

I have also included a paid xpress Canada post envelop for returning my passport, but no tracking info available online yet.

Hey Ziad,

You are not alone, My paper application was received on Oct 27 and I have not heard anything back as well. I believe the mistake we made was applying by paper. Online seems much faster even though the cic website says its the same processing time, that is far from the truth. What do you mean by in the summer time the wait time is longer?, I would expect it to be shorter.
I hope I receive my passport soon, I am scheduled to travel on December 25th. Good luck to you!

I meant that during summer time I applied for one using a paper application and the waiting time was just as indicated online. When I said longer I meant it was not 14 days it was something around 26 days if im not mistaken.

I have checked few threads so far, and I can see ppl who applied online and they still didn't even received a notice to send their passport. But you are right, the majority of ppl who applied online even in November they got their passport back, or at least a notice to send it.

I guess I should have used the online application. I do have travel plans as well on the 24th and just being patient.

10 November - applied for a TRV (paper)
12 November - passport received by Visa Office
16 December - Still waiting...
It was a big mistake to do a paper application, I think my passport is going to arrive next year (luckily). I already cancelled my flight, no Xmas for me this year.

This is so not good! people are cancelling flights, missing family reunions, overseas plans,...etc. It says online they are working on applications received on November 21st and we haven't received any passports yet!
Even if we submitted a paper application we should at least be able to check some sort of status online.

People with paper applications submitted to CPC Ottawa please keep us posted here. Thank you.

I always applied on paper for TRV from Canada, and every single time received passport back within 2 weeks.. Now, I applied on Dec4th, but seeing all this I don't expect to get it any time soon. And I have a flight booked for Jan 7th
I don't know why would they put 14 days as a timeline if that's not true
