Correction of info on citizenship app

Hi, I have a question regarding my citizenship application, when I completed the application I used an old SIN number that was provided to me for temporary purpose, after submitting my application, I noticed this error and that I didn't use my new permanent one, I submitted my application on Dec 2017, and until now I didn't get an AOR, also I can't find my application when using the status check online tool.

So I would appreciate if you can let me know if someone had come across similar issue. I don't know now if I need to resubmit new application or just send a letter explain the case.

Also, don't know if CIC will return my application when they start the screening process which mean I will lose the 7 month waiting time and start over.

Please any help with this topic would be appreciated,

I think you will be issued AOR as long as all forms are complete and accurately dated.. So just wait for AOR.. Once AOR is issued, send IRCC web form with correct info.. This way you won't lose any time..

Do not worry.
Your former SIN and the newest one are linked, so they can use any of them.
Also, IF you are so concerned after receive the AOR you can go to the IRRC web form and send them a clarification about it.

If you have submitted all the documents, they will send the AOR because at this stage they do not verify the veracity of the information in the form. They only verify that all documents have been submitted and no blank square has been left on the form.

It says you are May 2017 applicant and not Dec. 2017. Are you posting on someone else behalf?

Regardless of the SIN error, if 7 months after receiving your application you have no AOR, contact them and re-apply
