Hi
Finally I got my Confirmation of PR for me and my wife. We both live in Vancouver and we are planing
to drive to the boarder this weekend to do the "landing" process to approve our PR.
My question is we know it going to take like 2-3 months go receive our PR cards, and we need to fly to US and come back by plane to Vancouver. (I believe it will happen before we will get our cards).
will we need a special document when we re entering Canada?

Thank you!

It isn't necessarily taking 2-3 months these days, but yes, you need your PR cards to return by plane to Canada unless you are American citizens.

You can apply for a PR Travel Document outside of Canada, but there are no timelines for how long it takes to get one. If you're only in the US for a week or two, it may not be long enough.

You may want to consider flying into Seattle or Bellingham and taking a bus to the border and walking across, or hiring a rental car.

Thank you, I have already the tickets booked long before we got our PR..
Is it an option to do the "Landing" in the Airport when we're coming back from US?
