T602933XXX I got approved yesterday. Literally just received my COPR whilst typing this message out!

Did you get any update in the system prior to getting the COPR? Or did you have to go through the process of file transferred to local VO, got a call or upload docs on the portal before getting the COPR? AOR date and any idea how long it took for you to get the COPR after everything passed?

Usually criminality is passed based on PCC and biometrics. If you have not yet provided biometrics, that could be a reason. Also, for inland applicants, RCMP PCC may be required, and will be asked by IRCC.

I never submitted PCC but did submit a police check from Australia as it was requested in my initial list of documents. I've given biometrics and after calling IRCC, they noted that my criminality was in progress. Can I assume this means I don't need to provide a PCC from RCMP in addition as they would've requested when starting to assess my criminality? I'm inland as well btw.

Eligibility and security not started yet.

Why my criminality is taking so long?

I too have the same question. My AOR is April 18th, Bio - Oct 15th. I called, agent said, Eligibility - Pass, Background - Pass, Criminality - in progress, Security - Not yet. A month ago, when I called it was in the same status.

Is taking so long because the officers are too busy to update it. For some reason they start Processing a file and then they let it sit until they feel like finishing it.
I don’t see any other reason. Once you submit your biometrics they should be able to check your criminality within one day.

Most probably the Ottawa office is dealing with CERBS making the priority. That's my assumption.
