Hi Guys,

I successfully did my landing the other night, but I have a few questions:

1) I just noticed on my CoPR that the 'Orig. entry date' field is blank. I have been here for almost 7 years, so is this an issue that I should get rectified?
2) What is a 'Record of Landing'? I didn't receive anything when I landed other than a fresh stamp in my passport and my copy of the CoPR.

Thanks
Greg

My original entry date was wrong, and I have to get it rectified. Jes_On mentioned in other posts that it might be used for calculating pension etc..

Record of landing is an older document that was used and was replaced by CoPR.

Do we apply for the PR card by our self after landing or its a part of the landing?

I just checked my CoPR and found that my original entry date is wrong. I have been here for 7 years as well and they have mentioned my last date of entry which is Feb, 2014 as original date of entry.
I haven't done my landing yet. Do I have to contact CIC before landing? or I can contact them after completing flag polling.

I am not sure 100%
but will this wrong entry in "Orig entry date" impact residency calculation when in future we apply for Citizenship ?

No, you don't apply for the PR card. It's done automatically by the CIC system after landing.

I've done some searching and i've ready that it can cause issues with calculating citizenship time along with possible pension implications way down the road. I think i'll be safe and fill in the form to get it corrected.

I'd probably land first then correct it. The correction could take forever to process and it really isn't immediately a big deal.

Good suggestion....

The correction process takes approximately 6 months, so my recommendation is to land first and then file amendment of CoPR application.
