Hello everyone,

I will be receiving my COPR hopefully tomorrow (Aug 10th Thursday). What is the process after this?

I have a flight on Aug 13th Sunday so I am wondering if the border is closed over the weekend or not. I could maybe drive down to the border in Alberta on Saturday if possible?

Also, after I complete the "landing" process - can I travel outside of Canada?

If I cant complete the landing process by going to the border, I was wondering to go on my vacation on the 13th and when I am back in Canada in September, I could complete the landing process. My COPR will expire next year in February. Is that possible? Are there any restrictions on flying out of Canada during this time?

Hi

I suggest you delay your landing until you return from your trip in September. If you land now, you will not have a PR card in time to return and would need to either apply for a PRTD or fly to the US and enter at a land border.
