@crackMBA Can I take a connecting flight from BLR > LHR > YYZ > YYC ? or should it be direct from IND to CAN?
You can take anything you want if airline allows you. Check with the airline. Moreover you dont want to be in a position to show your documents again and get verified at LHR(if they check before boarding). So in this world of uncertainty I would prefer direct Ind to Can. I flew directly from Del to Tor even on PR just to avoid confusion.
Before covid I have never taken direct flights to save money but after Covid I have.

Try to connect with people who took this route.

posting it again:
Hello @13nitinsharma , @whyCorona @crackMBA
Now I am in a very weird situation. I need your input on this. Here are the details.
I am living in Canada and my COPR expired. dint do my landing .
My dependent (wife and daughter) lives in India. Their COPR also expired.
As all out PR approved prior to March 18, we are exempted to travel.
after lot of follow up on RTT, i got remedical request for my wife alone on Dec 21st. and that was done and application was updated as "Passed" on 23rd.
Today I received AL only for my wife and daughter. Prior to issue AL, i received a call from the case officer and she confirmed that she is going to issue AL to my wife and daughter alone as i am inside Canada and she does the same in 15 min after i had a call with her.
I asked that i am also expecting AL as i dint do my landing yet and as a primary applicant , i have to do my landing 1st. But she refused to do that and told that absolutely not need to go out and do the landing in the case i am now inside canada. after i explained Borderclosed and In-person Interview cancelled situation, she said she will discuss with her supervior and call me back. After 15min later, she called me again and told that, she checked with her supervisor and she/he confirmed that , i will be getting virtual landing within next 60 days or the day when my family landed in the Airport, that office will call and do the virtual landing for my self as well on the same day. So she strongly told that she is not going to issue AL and she said it is our problem/process to making sure that you all do your landing and absolutely the immigration officer at Airport is not going to return back your family members and she disconnected the call.

i dont remember anyone in this group had this situation, i really dont know what to do. I have the end date till March 11,20201 and my counterfail still not updated yet. Please help me and provide me your input. Thanks. :(

My COPR expired in September 2020. I reached out to them prior to September 2020 and let them know that we can't travel. We did receive a generic response from them about this.

Reading a few posts here, it seems like IRCC is again reaching out to applicants and asking them if they are ready to move? In some cases, they're even extending COPRs automatically? Is that how it's happening now?

OR do I have to reach out to them again via webform letting them know i'm ready to travel and they'll get back to me with the required steps to be taken?

I have never seen this case. But AL is only for the people whoa re coming from outside Canada. Inlands does not need an AL. I think they have explained you the procedure. An ideal situation would be to get yourself landed first and dependents later on but they have different procedure.
I can not say anything.
Sorry

OK i called the customer care today morning and explaning this situation again with agent. she told that for In land people, there will be a portal through which they will be landed. you will be getting the same something like that.. and also she told since you spoke to the immigration officer directly and they confirmed that this is the procedure then you have to beleive them. i dont see any issues with your file , the notes says "FIle is finalized and AL is issued to X and Y" when i ask about GC key update with counterfail, she said it is not being updated bcoz ur landing is not done yet.. so like that immigratio officer said. just wait for the virtual landing within this 60 days or wait for the day when your family arrives. Let see how it goes.. i am planning to book anyway and see what happens.

There is no RTT now. You can send and check the status of previous requests

Yeah. Even I do not know. You can book AC and change if they are not able to fly on the given date.
