Hi Seniors,

Does a contractual position for less than 1 year does not count as a work experience??

My internship started from 2nd Feb 2012 till 27th Feb 2013 and i got a contractual position from 28th Feb 2013 to 02nd Feb 2014 and 03rd Feb 2014 till date as a permanent position. I have got a ITA but i have gone through another post where Kryton mentioned that contractual position less than a year does not have points.

I have mentioned all positions in CIC profile and have claimed points against it.

Please confirm

Thanks

Hi!

Sorry if I have confused you here.

Work experience on a contract is fine, if it is skilled. You can use this experience for points.

You need at least one year of continuous work to qualify for FSW and one year of accumulated Canadian work for CEC.

Also just remembered that you once PM'd me with an unprovoked insult.

Hello,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I am on a contract job, but my boss in the proof of employment only mentioned full time but did not state it's on a contract which I have to renew. Would that be an issue? Do I get another letter stating that it is a contract position? Thanks
