confused about PR process

Hey everyone.. !!
I read here in this thread different stages of PR n the short forms attached to it. I get confused many of the times.
Can please anybody explain what r the stages of a PR application??? Wts AOR n how can you find out your AOR??
Wts GCMS notes?? Why do you wanna have it?? How can u get it??
N also how to check your PR application status??

Hi Friend,

At first I have no idea like what you have mentioned as well, Let me explain to you from my understanding.
PR stage from my case is CEC Canadian Experiences Class.

1) After you have submitted your application and if you have all of the documents that they need they will send you the AOR Acknowledgement Of receipt which mean you have everything from the checklist.

2) It's depend on case by case next the officer will determine your " Eligibility" in Language, Work Experiences including your job description relate to your skill and if you meet all of this the officer will set your eligibility to "Passed" or Review required if it's not clear so the senior officer will consider and make decision.

3) If you are "eligible" the officer will inform you and send you the Medical requested or MR and RPRF Right of the Permanent Fees.

4) PPR passport requested, If your medical and Criminal Passed they will ask you to submitted the passport for the Visa to entry and landed in Canada.

5) Obtain the PR Permanent residence.

GCMS notes is the note that the officer review your file and you can order online to see how your applications is progress.

Yes you can order the GCMS notes any time, You can check your application from your file number and according to your AOR the officer will provide you a file number or case number along with this ex E000XXXXXX. Please see the site below.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp?s=24.

You will need your last name, Date of birth and your home country to fill this. It will be confusing at first and eventually you will get it. Let me know if you need any help.
