I just called up the CIC help line and they say U can send both the scores across with explaination. So there is nothing mentioned in the website.

I don't understand how U guys are so sanguine about the rejection while there is nothing mentioned in CIC.
Anybody here in this forum got their application rejected bcoz of this reason, I want to know from such people only.....N

No guesses , only precedence will explain the situation well.

Regards,

There have been many cases where the answers given over CIC phone line were not in line with what the VOs apply.
The spirit of people here is in general: Better be safe than sorry.
Myself, my first CEC apllication was rejected because of CELPIP results. When I submited my first CEC application I was not aware that as a NOC A applicant, I have to score at least 4L in each category. I scored at lest 4H on all categories except speaking where I scored 3H. I found out on this forum that my application would have been eligible under the old rule but not under the new rules. So I decided to take the CELPIP exam again and score at least 4H on all categories. Before, I file a new application, I emailed CIC (I attached the new test scores) to ask to consider my application with new test scores. They replied with a rejection email.
The good thing was: I did not have to wait 8 months to get the rejection.

They can combine it, so you can get failure in Speaking and reading, thats your logic....., since they can say: heey he passed in speaking in one test and pass in writing in the other one, they can also say: oooh! yeh he faied in speakingin one test and he failled in reading in the other one, boooom. you get rejected. and yes sometime the CIC phone agents are totally clue less, my wife's visa got rejected beacuse when I called to ask them they said: hey you can do it, and baaaaam it was wrong, to be honest I wouldnt risk it. just do the test again. and hopefully u pass this time.....

I was about to post something similar with OreBaron.
You're only looking at it one way (the passing), while the VO might look at it the other way (not passing).

Call Center is not always reliable. When you ask them something, they will take a minute to search their website then just quote whatever they find. Different agents may give you different answers.

If you can combine language test scores, then you can take lots of tests, like 10 of them, and pick passing scores of the 4 categories out of any of the 10 tests. That doesn't seem fair...

@ZingyDNA:
If I'm a VO and see 4 test results where only one area is "passing" for each of them, I'd laugh so hard and give you a "Pass" on the Language Eligibility just for the effort and the persistence. :P

VO will read one test results at a time, not 2, 1st one -fail, 2nd one- fail. application -rejected. Just think this way, english score valid for 2 years, why is that? somebody passed english in 1970, why the guy have to give exam again in 2014? reason is, you have to prove that you maintain your english proficiency over those years?

In this case, he failed on writing, so he was bad in writing. Then in second test he failed in speaking, that means he improve the writhing but forgot how to speak english properly.

To add to this, there was a reason why even native English Speakers have to take the exam.
If you recall, years ago, you can just get a certification to the effect that in school and/or in your workplace, English was the medium of communication to satisfy the English Communication Skills requirement.
