CIC's shrewd plan is to let people enter with IELTS of 6.0 and then fail to secure a good job with less than 6.5 in IELTS which is equal to CLB 8.0
CIC clearly playing a devil's game here, they have no control on their industry leaders who had created a massive obstacle by setting up a benchmark of higher CLB which is higher than the IELTS set by CIC to enter the country. This is a cheating game with the immigrants.

It's certainly an improvement on allowing immigrants with IELTS score of 0, which formerly (technically at least) was possible.

Are you saying CIC should raise the minimum IELTS score to be higher?

I guess he wants CIC to lower the CLB set as 7. But I do not think there is any problem with that and thanks CIC did not make it even higher like 8 or 9 like Australia did. :)

With language being the most common barrier for new immigrants to face in order to find a suitable job, insisting on a reasonable standard of English (or French) can only be a good thing.

Remember, IELTS 6 (CLB 7) is not a very high standard of English, merely an adequate one.

There's no way of telling, we can just guess.

We don't even know what the cap will be - but my estimation is that it will be 5000 to 10000. With no specific NOC experience required (just 1 year's continuous experience in ANY NOC 0, A or B noc) I think any cap they set will be filled very quickly.

Probably in a matter of weeks. Possibly in a matter of days - although it will probably take CIO a few months to open all the applications to work out where the cap cut-off date is, I think probably only applications received in May and possibly June will have a chance of getting within the cap.

That is purely my own speculation though.

and also How much is it gonna take for academic credentials to be accessed??? CIC is taking much time to declare the institutes responsible can't wait any more.....:(
