Dear All

My parent company is in India and i was deputed to Canada on WP between Oct'10 and June'11. I went back to India and worked between July'12 and March'13. I was deputed back to Canada in Mar'13 and now i am planning to file for PR by end of Aug'13.

Can you please let me know if its fine I obtain 1 reference letter details all the requirements, because as per the document checklist it tells "up to date letters of reference from your past and current employers from the past 3 years"

I will be obtaining the letter on my Canada employer letter pad

Thanks

First, did you get paid in Canadian $'s in Canada ?

did you receive T4's for all your employment in canada?

filed the Taxes in canada and received the NOA from Canada Revenue Agency ?

If all the questions to above is YES,

Then yes if you get a reference letter will alll the duties, pay, duration of employment, employer contact details, and all other stuff on checklist,,,, you are good to proceed. Good Luck

Dear HoneySingh

For my duration in Canada, i got paid in CAD
I have the T4 for Year 2010 and 2011
As returned back India by June2011, i didnt file for my tax return then. So i filed for return in June 2013 and awaiting for my NOA

So 1 reference letter detailing the duration(past 3 years) and the roles would be good?

As all your experience is with the same employer in Canada, I guess just 1 reference letter covering all your period of employment should be fine.

Make sure you have enough for 1 year experience within the 3 years. Remember, employment periods beyond three years of the date of your application received date will not be counted.

This is same case with me as well.
In Cananda in 2010 and left in year end and then in 2012 to till now.... Having same Employer

First I though to provide one letter Which having period mentioned 2012 to till now....with my role and responsibility
Then I though to provide two letters

One for 2010 with the period metioned in letter with role and responsibility
And one for 2012 to till now .....

I just did it to be on safer side and I dont want that officer would nto see any letter for my 2010 experiance.

See , Its optional but i think it make more sense to provide be on safe side.

rest your own call.
