I am currently in Canada and claim offices are closed due to COVID. So where should I claim?

Have you consulted with some lawyers about whether you have a good case for asylum? You seem to have spent quite a lot of time in Canada in the last 5 yeser. Have you been living in Canada for many years. Claiming asylum has lots of negative consequences if denied on you as well as your extended family so it should always be the last option. Have you looked to see if you qualify for any other program?

Are you claiming asylum because you do not want to go back to school? Agree with the above that you need to consult with a lawyer. Asylum is a serious thing and only people who need refuge should be applying for it.
Hi everyone, I entered Canada 66 days before the beginning of my classes, and last term, I did not attend the school (in our school each term is approx. 2 months long). I was wondering if I am eligible to take the next term off without changing my visa type. If IRCC considers that 66 days as a part of 150 days, then I am exceeding the eligible number of days away from school. I really appreciate if an expert can help me.

If you are already in Canada, you will have to wait unfortunately. Right now offices are closed. You'll need to wait until the offices either re-open or IRCC introduces a process of applying online. So far there haven't been any announcements about this to the best of my knowledge.

@mkhiabany1388....
You are required to send your request by email to: IRCC.RefugeeClaim-Demandedasile.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. Please provide a copy of the biographic page of your passport or a copy of another piece of identity (as the case may be). You will be contacted by email for next steps.

Once your request has been received, an Acknowledgement of Claim will be sent to you by email or mail. Once the office re-opens, you will be scheduled to return for fingerprinting and an interview.

Thanks everyone. I am asking it for a friend who has a serious case to claim. I am already graduated and applying for PR.
