Congrats bokkie.

if i breakdown your timeline. it took only little bit over 3 months to get invite for writing C'ship test (after transferring file to Saskatoon). So do you think Saskaatoon office is fast? my file was transferred on Nov 4, 2013. Not sure, how long it gonna take to get invite for C'ship test. Could you please share what kinds of questions were in the test (u dont need to write exact questions) especially in regard to Saskatchewan province.

hope u hear soon about your oath.

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 15, 2011.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 15, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on November 22, 2012.

Note, that none of the events below were updated on eCAS, I actually had to get it from the call centre

4. File transferred to S'toon office on the 19/06/2013

5. Fingerprint Request sent on the 28/06/2013

6. Fingerprints submitted electronically on the 04/07/2013

7. Security clearance obtained 16/07/2013

This on ecas

8. Letter to write citizenship test on the 24/09/2013 received on the 10/09/2013.

Wrote test, passed and awaiting ceremony. They said it generally takes 2-3 months after test to attend oath if no further information is requested.

Thanks Simkr,
I don't know if S'toon is fast. All I can say is that even with the fingerprint request I am likely to come in just under 24 months. So probably average. If I didn't have the fingerprints, I could have probably saved a month or so. I am not sure what they do at the office once the file is transferred, likely just background; but either way you will probably hear from them soon, I would imagine.
As for the test it was really easy; read the book, and do some of the online practice exams and you should be OK. I think the only SK specific question was regarding the major industries, all the rest were generally about the government operation, roles, responsibilities, etc. and confederation. But they vary the questions so that would be of little use to you. There are a couple of practice exam sites, I found this one quite useful:

Thanks bokkie for sharing your experience.

Plz share with your oath experience as well once u are done with it.

Yes, we applied as a family, never leave Canada since we arrive here, and I had 3 employers before citizenship application.

Here is my timeline... its a family application

We started processing your application on April 19, 2013

Received RQ on October 8, 2013 issued from Saskatoon office. Letter date was October 3, 2013.
Filled the questionnaire and submit loads of documents on Nov 12, 2013. It reached citizenship & immigration office Saskatoon on November 13, 2013.

RQ in 7 months. Is this a fast RQ compared to other RQs in Saskatoon? In Montreal they are issuing RQs in 8 to 9 months, which wasn't the case before. Maybe all office are leaning towards common practice...let us know.

Also your application was transferred to the local office fast. In less than 7 months.

Hi, Everyone.

I think it is too early for me to join this thread.

Even though I haven't completed my PR process (will be soon these two months), it is good to know about the processing time and RQs ahead of time.

I live in Saskatoon as well. I am so surprised that it may take up to 25 months to process citizenship application or even longer :o.

Good to know and I think I'd better study RQs more because these guide me where to go for the next few years. Opportunities VS Keeping Residency in SK.

I would like to hear any comments back from you guys.

Good luck to all your processes.

Thanks for your info, Cherrycanada.

I think there are lots of RQ stories I can study about :-X

smk89: Sorry to hear about RQ. Seems everybody is getting RQ. the only difference i found is either before or after the test. So, sooner is better in that case.

When your file was transferred to Saskatoon?

Hope u hear soon about your test date. my file was transferred to Saskatoon earlier this month. i m keeping my fingers crossed for not getting RQ since next thing i am gonna hear about either test date or RQ.

Seems not many people from Saskatoon on this forum.

Considering what people wrote on this thread from Saskatoon, i can say 1) Saskatoon office is neither slow or fast, and 2) giving RQ almost to everybody (may be i am wrong..those people who are not getting RQ, prefer not to post on forums).
