Citizenship timeline-Saskatoon, SK

They said my application is a routine application and timeline for routine application is 24 months.
not sure whether i am gonna get test invite this year or after my baby (we expecting baby in dec). i hate waiting game but i can't do anything....just wait

any idea why so slow?did you ask cic?

about 70% of new immigrants settle in ontario & most of citizenship files submitted in Greater toronto area, so govt appointed more judges, more officer for GTA. but last last few years so many immigrants moved to alberta, saskatchewan from toronto but cic doesnt have enough man power to do cictizenship files these new people. may be in near future cic will be faster in sk followed by alberta when govt will see more applicants in these 2 province too.

if you check this forum for citizenship applicants, you will see most of the memebers are from Ontario.

but I heard that they would schedule test in 9 months after file transfer, is that true? did you get ATIP?

People applied in April 2014, already get test, in GTA I guess.

if they can speed up the process, it should be our turn first, first come first service,
why keep us waiting for 1 year?

Note, that none of the events below were updated on eCAS, I actually had to get it from the call centre

4. File transferred to S'toon office on the 19/06/2013

5. Fingerprint Request sent on the 28/06/2013

6. Fingerprints submitted electronically on the 04/07/2013

7. Security clearance obtained 16/07/2013

8. Letter to write citizenship test on the 24/09/2013 received on the 10/09/2013.

Wrote test, passed and awaiting ceremony. They said it generally takes 2-3 months after test to attend oath if no further information is requested.

Why it took one year for them just to start processing. so weird

I found that SK office did not schedule tests from May to August, this year and last year.

I hope it could be faster

it has been one year three months since i submitted my application (almost 9 months after file transfer). not sure when though i have already learnt how to be patient?

when did your file transferred to local office?
did you get letter or ecas?
