1. What's the average processing time for citizenship timeline wise now a days?

We intend to plan in Aug/Sept 2022 on paper as online is yet for single applicant not family, unless by then system updates, fingers crossed.

2. Ware concerned as our PR cards are expiring in DEC 2024, may be application would still be in processing by then. So would we have to renew PR cards too?

3. When exactly we need to start preparing for citizenship test? As soon as we submit application or after AOR?

4. Are the following steps are correct in terms of flow?
Submit application > AOR > prepare test > call for test within 21 days > take test > final confirmation > oath ceremony > voila!

5. We remained more than six months outside canada in 2020 during pandemic, hence we need PCC from home country, so how recent should be the PCC while submitting citizenship application in Aug/Sept 2022?

Thanking you in anticipation with kind regards!

1. it shows 27 months average, could be faster too.

2. You will have to renew PR cards if you intend to travel outside of the country during that phase.

3. Yeah after AOR or may be Once you get test notification.

4. You will get notified to select a day in the Test window dates provided by ircc

5. PCC should be within 6 months timeframe. Would suggest you apply around June/July 2022 depending on your country PCC processing times..

6. Good Luck :)

Jeez, didn't expect the backlog would affect processing this much. Fingers crossed!

I guess we will have to renew then.
3. Yeah after AOR or may be Once you get test notification.
Got it, will be preparing after AOR, as we don't know how much difficult that would be.
4. You will get notified to select a day in the Test window dates provided by ircc
Good to know the flexibility.
