Citizenship Application Received but no update for 9 Months

Hello All,

My wife's citizenship application was received by Sydney, Nova Scotia office (tracking number shows it was received) but we haven't had any update for the last nine months. We summitted the application on Sept 1st, 2020.

The call center guys didn't really help saying they cannot say anything until the application is in progress.

Could you please let me know what options we have ? Anyone experienced the same problem ?

Also, what happens to the fee we have paid ? Can we cancel the receipt and get the money refunded if there is no way to track our application lying in the office ?

Hi

Can you try check status https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en using unique client identifier (number from pr card)

Let me know if that works
 
If you submitted your application and have not received AOR for 9 months, if the call center guys are not able to find anything, better to submit another application, you can reuse the same payment receipt.

Thanks for the reply Karthick. Was just wondering if there are any other options before i do that.
 
I have exactly same situation! I submitted and mailed on August 2020, it has been 9 months i didn't received AOR letter.
