I am applying for citizenship for all family members. In application form CIT 0003 (citizenship form for minors) , Question # 8 b states " if the minor left Canada for a total of 730 days or more in the past five (5) years or since becoming a permanent resident"
Query : We became permanent residents in July 2014 , left Canada after 1 month and came back in June 2017 . While answering this question ,which time period should I consider as the question wording is a bit vague with "OR" word in it .
Does it mean 5 years back from citizen application date OR all years back till date of permanent residence , whichever is shorter period ( In my case its From June 2016 till June 2021)

Does it mean 5 years back from citizen application date OR all years back till date of permanent residence , whichever is longer period ( In my case its From July 2014 till June 2021 - 7 years )
