Hello everyone,

I have an AINP nomination which is bound to expire on 31 May, 2015. I have not yet applied for the federal part. The time to get AOR seems to be around 3 - 4 months.

Do I have to make sure that my CIC application reaches CIO NS by 31 May i.e. by the nomination expiry date OR does my nomination have to be unexpired when they are issuing my AOR i.e. I have to send my application now?

You need to send/submit your PR application to CIO BEFORE your nomination expires. Do not wait until the last week to send it and have at least 2-3 weeks lead time (depending where you are located) to compensate for delivery time to CIO-NS.

It does not matter if the nomination expires before your AoR is issued - what matters is at the time of submission (receipt of the package at CIO-NS), the nomination is valid (not expired).
