Hi,
I have mailed a query to CIC with name and application number only and just found that they need DOB, UCI too....Do they reply without UCI and DOB ? any experiences?

Thanks!

Automated reply says that you need to include your full name, date of birth, and a file number or client ID, otherwise they will not respond. Just send another email. ;)

I hope sending another mail will not annoy them....will probably send after a week to give them enough time..

Let me know if you get any response. It has been more than 2 weeks since I sent the email query and no response yet. :(

I sent them an email without those details. They got back to me after about 20 days asking for my UCI, DOB, full name. Then it took another 3 weeks for them to actually reply to my question.

One does not need to provide DOB and/or Client ID. Only your name and Application number will suffice. They may or may not get back to you depending upon whether someone has read your email.

No CEC007, its their standard procedure that they will only reply when you included all the critical details as mentioned in the automated response.

Ofcourse, there may be people on this forum who may have got a reply without giving much details- but do you really want to take chance and waste your time? Best to include everything.

All the best.

I think it makes more sense to send another mail in a day or two with all details..rather than waiting for one more week...

No no, you dont need to wait even a single day! Just imagine so many people would be sending the mails every minute.

Just send another email right now with your main question in the top and include all of the details at the bottom of the message.

full name, UCI, CEC application no., dob, pob, address.... (wont hurt....trust me!)

all the best.

InfoSeeker..I will do it now..

Do we need only primary applicant details or my family member details as well in this mail?

Just the primary's name and DOB will be enough. But the rest are all common, application no, UCI no. residential address..

Thanks InfoSeeker12.

I sent additional docs on April 9 to be added to my file, received no response..

Sent another reminder email on May 10 to acknowledge, again received no response...

Shall I send forward same email again to them? Not sure why they did not respond to my emails.. :(

Hi Sara007
I am in the same situation as you
Sent additional documents that were received June 20,2013
I sent an email to CEC to confirm the receipt but no response
Not sure what to do next
