Hi All,
I am scheduled for my test on 28th March. I have one visit visa to HK and 3 visit visas to china in 2010 & 2011 on my passport. Do I need to translate those visas? The visas are in English but Entry/ Exits stamps are in Chinese. I also recently visited Saudi Arabia (Jan 2014) and translated the visa and stamp.
I will probably do the translation as i don't want to risk my application, but just want to hear the experience of others.
Thanks

Be prepared with the translations (notarized if possible).
My Egyptian colleague was asked for translations of stamps in Arabic in his passport.
Expect that CIC will demand those translations when you go for the test and interview.

My friend told me about applicants being sent back when he went for his test for not having translations for non-english/non-french stamps.

My passport had a one year visa for China and entry/exit stamps for HK, Macau, mainland China, Taiwan and Japan (among others). I didn't get any of them translated.

Thanks All for your suggestions. Yes, the HK stamps are partly in English but still have some Chinese words.
I will do the translation today to be on the safe side. Better to be safe.

Does anyone know why do they want the translation of foreign stamps? It is clearly shown the date of entries and why make applicant go through all the troubles?
