Childbirth in Canada. Issues with the visa application form

Good day,

Please i need assistance. i'm due for delivery in November and would like to have my baby in Canada. I've found a hospital within my budget in ontatrio. I'm trying to fill the application form online, got to a point where i was asked what i would like to do in Canada i ticked "visit" and my main purpose of visit i selected" other". It now asked for my invitation letter.
Can someone please advise on what to do as i dont have a family in Canada. What should i have selected?

Have your u refer by a doctor? Do you have doctors certificate?

no doctor's certificate. They said they dont give letters.

So do you have a plan should there be complications resulting in you overstaying your authorised stay and financially as well given costs can be significant if complications.

Are you visa exempt or do you need to apply for a TRV. Read this link below for visitors with intent to deliver in Canada as far as being admissible.

Assume you know only the child will benefit becoming a citizen at birth, the mother gains no rights at all or at least until the child can sponsor from age 18.

Apologies if you have done all your research but there are a lot of things to consider beyond just finding a hospital and worst case as with a recent case where a visitor had a complicated birth and although exceptional involved hundreds of thousands of dollars which became due not covered by any travel insurance.

I was told the cost of nicu. I also know the child won't be able to file for me till 18 years.
I'm a Nigerian so i'll need a temporary resident visa to go to Canada, that's why I am asking how to go about the invitation letter part.

If complications are not in your budget then you shouldn't do this.

If you don't have an invitation, personal or medical, you will just have to skip this, somehow.

How much funds do you actually have to show?

Also, if your ultimate plan is to have your child sponsor you, note that under current rules with the income requirements and lottery, it will likely take significantly longer than 18 years.

If you say in your TRV application that you are coming to Canada to give birth, I think you're pretty much guaranteed the TRV will be refused. This will make it sound like you have plans to remain in Canada long term.

To be approved for a TRV, you will need to show that you have strong ties to your home country (e.g. employment, property ownership, assets) and have no plans on remaining in Canada long term. You'll also want to show that you have proof of previous travel to countries requiring visas like the US and/or UK.
