Hello! Can anyone who has knowledge please help if you have info?

We were recently granted a visa for permanent residence for a 7 year old child.
He mother is a permanent resident for 5 years....I am a Canadian Citizen.

The child's biological Father has given written consent to Canada embassy that was notarized along with photocopy of ID

We are going to pick up the child and have some questions about leaving The Philippines.

a) Since the daughter will travel with Mother and not her father will there be any complications?

b) Will she need any paperwork from The Philippines? We have the Canada Visa and paperwork but unsure what is needed from Philippines if anything

c) Would I have a problem as a foreigner going along with them on the flight or should I avoid it and let them go alone?

thanks!

a) No.

b) No. But, the child will still have to be registered with Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO).

The following emigrants are exempted from attending the PDOS, but should still register in person or by an authorized representative:

- Minors aged 12 and below;
- Senior citizens (60 years old and above);
- Those incapacitated due to permanent or long-term ailments; or
- Those with mental health issues or psychologically-challenged.

Since the mother is coming to pick up the child, the mother can do this in person and register the child at CFO office.

c) Nothing prohibits you from accompanying your wife and step-child.
