Child Canada Dependant Visa Query

Hi All,

I and my spouse came to Canada on work permit Visa and my Daughter is USA Citizen. ( She is 3 year old)

Upon entry to Canada, my daughter was granted Visitor Visa.

Is there any possibility to convert Visitor Visa to Dependant Visa. As when I applied SIN for my daughter, it was rejected on Visitor Visa.

Without SIN, will my daughter get Medical Card?

Your child doesn’t need a SIN to apply for a health card and doesn’t qualify for a SIN. If you are working in Canada your child qualifies for healthcare. Visitor status is the appropriate status for children of temporary workers.
