Hi all,

Two questions:

1) When checking through E-cas, for those that have been approved - what are all the different statuses that it can be under "In process" before decision made? The first starts with "We started processing <name> applications on <date>. Should it say "received medicals" "received passport" etc.etc.?

2) What is the best way of doing a status-enquiry. Fax or Email? Do they ever answer? It seems that people have waited VERY long, or haven't heard back.

Many thanks.

Some peoples ecas update and some never do even after landing. Some peoples say Meds received others don't. It's not a truly accurate account if your application.

Hi there, you can do a status enquiry through the webmail form on the embassies website however depending on the IO, they do not have to give you any information in regards to the status of your application until the approximate 80% timeline is up. Some people are successful with a response earlier, however others are not. Good luck! :)

Thanks - helps a lot...

In Guatemala's case - 18 months is the 80% mark.. I'm not even close to that, so I guess they wont respond then :( So inhumane!
