Applying Inland for PR but working overseas

You can extend your visitor status online. Ask for a year, provide a copy of your receipt of payment for the PR app, proof you or your partner will support you until you recieve PR. My husband and I did it this way and it was fine. I would def apply through London as Pinklady suggested though.

No PR card yet - should I apply for travel document

LOL believe me I was a complete paranoid freak, thinking they wouldn't let him on the plane ect. They barely looked it and printed the ticket beforehand. He's a German citizen and we had travelled to an island.

No PR card yet - should I apply for travel document

The call center seems to tell everyone this. I was assured by rjessome that we did not need our card. We travelled without it and had no problems getting on the plane with just our COPR. They asked if we lived and Canada and my husband said he was waiting for his card and showed his COPR and...

    Question about re-entry to CAN

Considering you're originally from a visa exempt country you should have no problem entering Canada again with your landing papers. If he applies for the card now and shows proof of his travel plans you can do an urgent request and they will process it within 4 weeks I believe.

    Thread for outland Buffalo applicants!

This is correct. The purpose of the visitor visa extension is to extend the time she can remain in Canada. The extension becomes void when she exits the country. Being she's not visa exempt she wouldn't be allowed to reenter. Hopefully a more senior member can give more direction.

    Thread for outland Buffalo applicants!

I'm so sorry. She will need a visa to enter the States and because she needs a visa to enter Canada then she would not be allowed to reenter Canada without one. It's a tough position that you're in. The application would have been more suited to an inland app.

tourist travel from Canada to US

You shouldn't have any problems reentering Canada and you're travelling. I would have proof of your return flight in case they ask. They may or may not give you the 6 months on your passport. My bf one time got only 3 months but another time didn't get anything which means 6 months :p
