I need kind suggestion , i am going to apply for my wife as me in canada on PR.
I have filled these forms and documents:
As Well she have changed her name after marriage: so do i have to change her name on her education certificates as well?

Well you can but for me i applied without updating my cnic and passport. What i believe if you have enough solid proof to show them that your marriage is genuine along with all other documents completely filled out, they can not actually make this an issue. i applied without any changes in passport and cnic. Also if i change my last name, wouldnt you have to change the name on degrees and all other documents?? Just asking.
Changing your last name is not mandatory except in certain cases within pakistan they ask the women abt it. Like at the isb airport they asked me but that was actually irrelevant of him i guess. For me its just another hassle. But yes in case i'll get any such correspondance relevant to it, will definitely let you know.

I will not ask her to change anything on any of her documents , well passports don't have any of these information anyways

one more question I am not doing any mehndi and our Nikah will be very simple in a mosque but I will have a Nice walima do you think this could be a problem

This is bothering me as well since my wife plans to study here once she comes to Canada.
Like you we have also not received the original documents. Some ppl on the forum received
the documents after first stage.

Guys Im so mad right now.
I called the call centre in mississauga and both time the agents were so rude.
For spouse sponsorship they required to submit original birth certificate, uni degrees and marriage license. Now they say we do not return original documents (what the call centre agent said)

I emailed london & islamabad many times, no reply. Its been 6 months since my husband landed in Toronto and case has been completed but no sign of returning original documents. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Anyone else in this situation? did you receive your original documents back?

They took exactly 30 days from DM status to us receiving PPR2 directly. Sent passport in Dec 3rd, and still nothing.
InshAllah tmrw is our day!

Decision made since 2-3 days and no email yet. How long does it usually take them to send a freakin email?

Problem ... Well they will ask questions regarding customary rituals because they do consider it important too..
You should have a logical answer that could satisfy their areas of concern. But dont forget to provide them with rukhsati proof and all that.

Just don't worry at all. i have the same situation but i did get an email on my wife's id as well. however, pattern is just the same as your.

so wat happen now how long it wil take ??? i have done with my medical in nove and still didnt get any response.

I know some one who had Proxy Rukhsati.....the Rukhsati was done for the photo shoot ... but CIC wants the marriage to be consummated, they can easily figure out during interview through direct personal questions... so its better to play straight and do a compete marriage before filing your application.... LVO seems pretty strict on this

Salaam .
Recieved an e-mail from LVO regarding my husband's re-medical, Alhamdulillah .
Just a little concern though.. On the medical form it says to have it completed within 30 days & according to husband's interview letter there's a date of the first week of december which means it's over the time limit but we didn't recieve the interview letter until the 22nd of december & medical form until just now so that's ok, right?
.. Saw his interview date on e-cas, waited for interview letter for a while but nothing so e-mailed LVO on the 18th of december requesting it, got it on the 22nd then waited for re-medical & nothing, requested it from LVO but still nothing then e-mailed them again yesterday & recieved it last night
So there's nothing to worry about, right?
