I also got Re-med & PPR 2gether, i've done medical on 20 june & sent d passport on d same day. I got my passport back wid visa stamped on 3 August...

Congratulations! So I guess it takes over a month.

I sponsored my better half who was originally from Pakistan but living n working in Saudi Arabia. I applied from Islamabad visa office. Here is my time line:

Case Submitted: 2 Feb 2011
AOR received: 18 March 2011.
Police certificate request: 15 may 2012
Remedical; 30 may 2012
Passport request: 1 july 2012.
Now waiting for the return of the passport. It is almost being a month since the passport was sent.
Want to celebrate Eid together but it looks like they are taking it for ever.

i got this same reply today.. i emailed them on july 3rd and in between i got my re medical.. now waiting for ppr... my e cas is still application received.. i did my re medical on 16th july and it doesnt even say medical received..

were you asked for additional docs (supplementary forms)? If so, when were you asked for it?
did they explicitly ask for a REpcc or did u voluntarily send it?

From what I have read on this forum from senior members - depends on the visa officer - for husbands there are more detailed checks as compared to wives - but some visa officers will do the check before re-med but many will do the checks after medical results have been recieved (criminality/security will be showing not started on GCMS notes) - which is why it can take up to so many months to recieve PPR depending on the travel history and background.. same with people who recieve re-med and PPR even though CHC will already have the passport they do take however many months to give it back stamped depending on when the background checks are completed

I don't get it, I thought if we got re-med's then that meant they've done all the checks...
