hii everyone am from Pakistan
i know its spouse sponsorship topic but m not getting views/reply from other topic
if someone;s relative/known one are going through parents immigration case so i need your views about it please
Me and my parents are sponsored by my elder brother in 2008
i am dependent i was 18 year old in 2008 when brother filed family immigration case.
We sent our medicals on 6 November 2012 and were expected to b expire on 6 November 2013 but till 20 october 2013 there was not any responce by CIC so we asked to MP on call that whats going on so he replied that validity of our medicals got extend by our immigration officer for 3 months and then after few days on 31st October 2013 our lawyer got PPR email in which written that You are required to submit your passport(s), photographs along with a copy of this letter by MAIL within the next THIRTY (30) days from the date of this letter. As the validity of your visa(s) has been already established and is limited to a fixed date, it CANNOT be extended under any circumstances. We therefore urge you to read and follow carefully the instructions below without delay:
as my parents are already in Canada as Visitor so they asked original passports for them and photocopy of mine as i am out of canada with photographs and fill form of eyecolor ,hieght etc
we sent all this via MAIL on 14 November 2013
and still waiting for passports and my original passport request
does anyone have idea whats going on with our case ??
does it normal time of processing ?

please reply all and if someone is going through similar situation need your views about it
will b so helpful.
our VO is Los Angeles

Thanks

Hello,

So I went to Pakistan to visit my husband. I'm now 5 months pregnant and we also applied for a visit visa for him. I called the MP and the case worker there said it will take around 10 months more for the processing to complete (although I applied in November 2011). I'm now going to meet the MP after the holidays because I need to make sure my husband gets here in time to see our baby being born, I can't let that moment just go by without him here with me. What do you guys suggest I say to the MP and what documents should I bring with me?

Also for all people who applied in 2011, can you tell me how much of you guys heard back at all? I know that 2012 cases mostly heard back for a RePCC and Remed...I just want to gather some stats to tell the mp to urge CIC to take a look at the old cases instead of backlogging them.

Anyone else went to their MP? What did you ask for and how was your experience

It is a good idea to go to MP and ask for some sort of help. In reality though, MP don't really have the power to process your case faster or bring your husband to Canada. What an MP could do is ask what is happening in the file. Unfortunately, CHC is quite used to MP's now (since many members take those routes). CHC just sends out a genuine response, like we are doing background checks or something between those lines. You don't really need to bring any documents. Just know the basic info (or bring the approval letter from cic).

I had contacted my mp about a year ago. Nothing really happened, he just investigated about file and thats pretty much it. Good luck to you though.

Thanks...right now I'm pretty much prepared to try all the possible routes and leave nothing out. I know it's a bit hopeless but I know I would regret it if I didn't try. I even got a letter from my doctor recommending that it's advisable to call my husband to Canada that I will show my MP and also forward to CPP-O.

Oh and also, since I visited my husband and spent some time with him in Pakistan, you think I should send proof of that and any photos...do any of you know to where (Mississauga or CPP-O or Islamabad)??

Thanks!

Yes, good ahead and try it out. It might work out for ya!

Yes, you may send additional proofs if you like. I would recommend sending one copy to cpp-o and the other to isb-chc.

Asslamualikum Wyz,

Just wanted to say congratulations and I will make dua for you that your husband is their with u at time of delivery.

I went through something similar and unfortunately my husband was not with me when I had our baby daughter. But I returned to Pakistan to be with hubby when she was only 2 months old and now she doesn't sleep until he comes home from work.

Immigration doesn't understand what the word family means.
