awesome news !
Had a dream in which I finally got my passport back! I know the actual CHC has absolutely no intention of giving it back, so this is the only way it can happen. So let's see, maybe next dream I'll book the tickets for around December.

Lol you never know that sooner turns into reality..so keep dreaming positive :)

I need to notify my new Canadian address to CHC-I. Should I email or send a written letter with signature. Please guide.

Can you please share again "How to read/review GCMS notes"

Thank You!!!!!!!!!

No, it means they're processing it and reviewing it. Exactly the same thing they were doing before you got the politician involved.

The reply was the standard politician's reply, and was meant to tell you "be patient - you'll get your answer as soon as they're done".

You guys should be glad they are atleast looking at your files or responding with "...in queue with immigration/decision officer..."
Some of us 2010 are still here... so be patient but i won't be surprised if your cases are done before ours... &*^*&^% CHC-ISB.

24 months and counting...

They will review the file and than push it to WVR or interview quen..next stage will be DMO to review your file than PEHP...
given interview is waived....

same here most of us 2010, and some 2011 are waiting patiently n those that apply after us are more impatient. I know its not fair but Allah swt will reward us insha'allah for our patient. Ameen

Not sure what you're referring to..

There's this (for outland applications):

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

And there's this in the "How to Apply" section:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-how.asp

Each of those things have 3 stages, but I'm not sure what specifically you're asking for.

Stage-1: [CIO stage] Send Initial Apps+Processing Fees to CIO-NS > Qualitative Check > Issue of AOR+120 days Letter >

Stage-2: [CHC stage onwards] Send Full Docs+RPRF to the Local Visa Office > File on Queue > e-Cas: "Received by Visa Office" > Eligibility Check+PSDEC > Issue of 2nd AOR > Background Check > Issue of Additional docs Request [if any] > 1st BF'D > e-Cas: "In Process" > Send Addnl. Docs > Issue of Med Request > 2nd BF'D >

Stage-3: Meds Sent > e-Cas: "Medical Results Recd." > Issue of PPR* > Send Passport/s > Security Check > Visa/s Stamped > e-Cas: "Decision Made" >
*The Meds & PPR are sometimes 'clubbed' together.

Stage-4: Return of 'Stamped' Passport/s+COPR > Landing at the POE > e-Cas: "Completed".
