Hi everyone, i am in here, trying to sponsor my husband from afghanistan trough islamabad. its almost 6 month i didn't hear anything from them is that ok? please help, i am so worried and my husband want me to move to afghanistan to live with him, i can't leave there i was grown up in russia and 10 years i am living here in canada. he miss me a lot and he want us to be together no matter where to live, i love him a lot and i want be together but i can't leave there for sure.

Yes i am sponsoring my husband from afg, They got my papers on feb 2, 2010 and started working on it on feb 24, 2010

so here what i did....i got the suplementary information form to be filled out ...i filled it as best as i can, tried contacting the embassy for the things i couldn't understand but their reply came late and i mailed out the documents...now here is the problem they said to mention the addreses where i have lived but i never did .
so what should i do? should i fill out a new supplementary information form and mail it to them or wait for their furthet corresppondence?

please help me

you are suppose to mention all ur previous addresses its better if u send them a new form explaining that u forgot to mention it in the old one

please tell me one more think in that form in the personal history section they have asked what have you being doing in the past 15 years mentioning time spent as a homemaker, travelling studying or working so where should i mention the addresses?

I have been waiting for 15 months now

Here's my time line:

March 2009 - Husband applied
April 2009 - Sponsorship Approved
May 2009 - Islamabad CHC started processing the application
Nov 2009 - They asked why have we not lived togehter and when will rukhsati will be done (We had just done the nikah, which is what everyone does I have heard.. people wait for the visa to come before they get the rukhsati done!!!)
Nov 2009 - We mailed them we didnt live together since rukhsati wasnt done and its planned for march
Dec 2009 - They asked to submit rukhsati AND honeymoon pictures
Mar 2010 - We submitted Rukhsati and Honeymoon pictures
Jul 6th 2010 - They asked to submit updated police certificates
July 9th 2010 - we submitted
July 12th 2010 - we received a letter to get my medical done again
July 26th 2010 - Got my medical done
July 28th 2010 - they sent letter that if i had done my medical i should send passport as visa seems to be ready for Issuance.

Waiting now

seem like you could have gotten you're visa in November if rukhsati was done.

Everyone else who's waiting for over 14months could this be the reason?

Does canging last name matter?. I didn't change as getting all new docs with new last name would have taken months before we could even apply. But its an important question!

yes i did change my last name but it doesn't have a negative effect on ur case since in the application they do ask u about your previous names and you can mention you maiden name in that section and everything should be fine inshallah
