thanks a lot for your reply Danny. A couple things I wanted to add. In ecas its not 'decision made' its still 'in progress'. and secondly, they changed the address after I sent by passport but before it actually reached them. so for landing papers passport is not required by them?

They need your photographs to attach to the landing papers, so they can't fully prepare your landing papers without the 2 photographs you sent with the passport. If the e-case still says "In process" it would mean that they havn't stamped the Visa yet. Usually the E-case is updated a couple of days after stamping the Visa.

Hi,

Usually in husband cases if they choose to perform a background check based on the PCC provided along with the updated forms, it takes about 6 months after the re-medical before they issue PPR. It seems like your Immigration officer is the same as the rest of the late 2010 applicants. Ask your husband to email them from his email account and provide his name, file number, date of birth and spouse name. He should inquire about his case status in the email. Most likely he will get a reply stating that his application is under background checks. Unfortunately there is not much you can do beside being patient for a couple of more months. Make lots of dua as well.

“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and Allah. It was never between you and them anyway.”

As I mentioned in the other post, the visa officer for the late 2010 applicants is going very slow and most likely in your case, they are doing a second background check after re-medical on your husband. Its true its all about luck. Make lots of dua and InshaAllah good news will come soon.

in process

Thank you for the information.
I got just 1 more quick question . . . . What was your ecase file status showing when your wife got the PPR, was the Application Received or In Process. . . . .?

this is husband case.

Hi, I've the same time line, the only difference is 2 weeks ago my husband's application status changed into "In Process". This is whats written there: "We received your application for permanent residence on January 21, 2011.

We started processing your application on August 16, 2012.
Medical results have been received. "

I received email from embassy June of 2012 saying that "background checks are underway" and last week they sent my husband a letter to fill out one more form. Here is the link: www.canadainternational.gc.ca/pakistan/assets/pdfs/PakistaniNationals-Form-en.pdf

Danny, would you please let me know what are they upto? As I've become so hopeless. Mayosi gunnah hai par koi choice nahi hai.....

In my opinion, writing to them wouldn't make any difference regarding the slow processing of 2010 applications compared to 2011 applications. A couple of things I would suggest would be to avoid the forum as much as you can and engage yourself in something else. The more you think about the Visa, the harder its going to get. I believe you are almost there; once your husband's background check is over, they will send PPR InshaAllah :)

Danny Bhai i am a 2011 cases n our time line was a bitt close to each other u wife has landed about two months ago now n i still am waiting for Remed n PPR so im guess i fall into the 2010 applications ?? May Allah swt forbid (no fence to 2010 applications)
