I have been told by MP office that they donot contact consulates directly as they are not obliged to respond back to MP office. MP contacts Canadian immigration where they give updates to the MP office, Immigration office receives all the updates when there is any movement on your file consulate.

They do write back to the MP'S office and quickly as well. MP'S office don't call the embassy because of the time difference. The lady who handles my case from the MP'S office that's what she told me that she could call, because of the time difference she can't call them. Also i like to mention to people that please do vote for the Liberal party becasue i just heard the news on TV that there might be elections taking place in March and we need to support Liberals. I've been in Canada for the past 29 years, believe me Liberals are the best to deal with immigration problems and other issues we are facing in Ontario.

Yes its confirmed by email...no official letter received yet but i also had an MP contact the embassy and they also got the same exact email that I got that they have to do an interview and it won't be before February. When we first filed our application the processing times were between 6-12 months and in july they increased it to 16 months. It doesnt make sense to me that we have to fall under the 16 months time frame now...one would think the newer candidates would. Its a very hard wait especially if you hardly get to see each other and its not really safe (i think) for me to go wait in karachi especially since my urdu sucks since i've been raised here.

I have been waiting for my husband's sponsorship since 2009 June, I am still waiting for his interview. I Would like to protest, peaceful in downtown toronto bringing everyone's attention to CHC Islamabad being so lousy. Who would like to participate? Unfortunately, because of work schedule, I would like to do it after 5pm. Please let me know guys if you would like to participate...if we don't do this way, it will never work. Let's involve media...atleast.

Yes in their website and future road maps they are making sure that more visas 4 spouse cases will be there in 2011 but its not only for Pakistanies but its 4 rest of the world as well and u know that we are already getting very low priority regarding spouse sponcership in the eyes of CIC which is seems unfair but im hopefull that in near future Canadians will look into the matter positivlyyyyyyyyy

It is realy nice this forum is active and more and more new friends are joining. I am delightful.

Maximus buddy I can see you on your bicycle that you are ready to Rock & Roll and you should be. Enough is enough you deserve a VISA now, If they can not process the file in 16 months for you may be its time to request them " Ye visa office run krna aap ke bus ka kaam nhi hy iss liye sub bahir aye aur pehle cycle run ker ke dekhye kis kis ko atti hy aur sirf wohi office b run kre ga and plz let them to have your bicycle for a test ride.

Ok here is the deal. Jo VO maximus ko visa issue kre ga jald oss ke mobile mey 50Rps ka balance meri tarif se. Deal or NO Deal

Bass bhai aap dua kerein ke Visa ab aa jayee... On the average after 17 months most of the husbands are getting visas so lets see if i get in 1-2 months or not.....

Deal kafe ache hai waise ab tu VO visa de he de ga

Hi Everyone!
I just joined but have been reading this blog for a few months. I'm a canadian sponsoring my husband from pakistan. Islamabad started to process our application January 2010. The end of this month is 1 yr for us. I recently emailed the embassy for an update and got the same email others here got that he's going to be scheduled for an interview which won't be before February. His medical also expired in September. I was wondering if anyones spouse has already been interviewed and what they ask. I'm worried about the interview. I have an immigration consultant I have been working with to sponsor him and she says I shouldnt be worried but I can't help but only worry.
We did a small nikah July 2009 I didn't want to do my ruksathi there since my siblings couldn't go with me. However we did have a proper nikah and even had a small dinner reception after. My husband and I recently met up in another country for 8 days and decided to do an early honeymoon. I am reading here that the embassy only asks for a interview if you haven't had a ruksathi but i'm hoping us going on a honeymoon/vacation together will help just as much. can you all please advise. i'm beyond frustrated and its even worse now after spending almost 2 weeks with him recently.

Hey Dear,

Dont worry they just ask basic questions about Why, Who and When...
They look to see how genuine you marriage is and scan ur face and responses to see if anything clashes. Interview is just to support the decision they have in mind. THATS ALL.

Just be confident thats it.
Good luck

When did u get the AOR? Also, order Caips to get the exact picture of your case

Hi

Thanks a lot.. but lets save the final congrats for the time i actually get the PPR coz you never know with these guys. As you can see i applied for my husbands case in April 2009 and Islamabad started processing it in June 2010. We did the remedical in Feb 2010 and then submitted the police certificate for the second time in May 2010 after that every time i used to write to the embassy they would tell me that my file is going through background checks and they can't tell me how long its going to take. I got the same reply for 8 months till they actually sent me a different mail a few days ago that the background checks on my file have been completed and now my file is in que to be reviewed.

Whats bothering me though is that in the last 2 yrs we have done medical twice and now this month my husbands medical is going to expire again. I just hope they don't delay my file more by asking for another medical coz that would really suck. I just hope its the PPR this time inshallah..
